This review is from: The War Years: 1941-1945 (Audio CD)
The material here sounds awful, of all the harlequin releases I own, this is by far the worst sounding. Most of the material comes from transciption records made during the war to encourage the troops in the form of radio broadcast. It features the wonderful Lina Romay in three selections or such (the best of such being Shu Shu Baby). If you want to own some of this rare recordings being released by Harlequin my advice is to start with "A weekend In La Havana", and if you want an incredible CD featuring Lina Romay go get "Maracas, Marimbas & Mambos" released by Rhino with cuts from the MGM musicals in which Cugie used to appear.
¡Salud!
