War2040 is a warning. The nations of the earth have been at a point for several years circa year 2000 where competition for natural resources, water, food, and living space is no longer driven by greed alone. We are at the place in human history where that competition is driven by national and regional necessity for survival and it will be exacerbated by racial, ethnic and religious differences.
There are too many human beings on the earth. That must change. It will change. About two-thirds of humanity, living in varying degrees of poverty with little or no education and no political or military power will be sacrificed in genocide on a massive scale. Of course, it will not be called genocide. It will be called war, or pandemics, or famine, or something else that sounds plausible. History shows that the poor and the powerless will always lose. Only the very rich may be able to completely avoid the pain and suffering that is coming. The rest of us will have to take our chances.

He has been a laborer, miner, soldier, U.S. army officer, school teacher, insurance agent, computer programmer, systems analyst, and traded stocks and futures for his own account. He has lived in New York, Maryland, Florida, Virginia, Arizona, Washington, and Hawaii. Has traveled in Europe, briefly in Canada, and Mexico and lived in Germany and Japan. He currently lives in the United States. War2040 is his first novel.
