Really nice cage, I'm impressed,
By I saw this and really liked what I saw just from looks alone. And entirely solid second floor! Actually doubling the floorspace and not just giving some tiny shelves as a "second story". Nice little nest area (I wouldn't actually transport a ham ham in anything that small, but as a nest area it works well). Infinitely expandable! Great idea! So I bought this. I have some issues, most minor. I've finally hooked it up to my pair of campbell's cages and they've found it pretty interesting so far. My run down of good and bad-- Good: solid second floor. It's great and actually gives them more room. Good: Wheel is actually a pretty decent wheel. I scavenged it even before I started using it to give my new pair of dwarves a wheel in their crittertrails (I will not use the new crittertrail wheels EVER, they're awful!). Really nice and fairly quiet wheel for something that came with a cage. Good: The material is actually flexible and not easy to break. Crittertrail rigid plastic breaks really easily. Good: Like the snapdown food dish. Bad: The tubes. The solid elbow tube probably would work for a syrian, but seemed too big for a dwarf. The flexi tubes are a good concept but just don't work well. They fell apart easily and I see possible safety issues with feet getting caught in them. I replaced them with crittertrail tubes. Bad: The bottle. I feel bad having to give the bottle a lousy review, especially since it runs rings around the crittertrail bottles which might just be the worst bottles ever designed. But the gravity feed design on these are basically the same as the crittertrail, just with the ability to unscrew the bottom so you can actually clean the bottle. It's a bad design. I'm using a regular bottle with an O ring to hold it in the hole. Bad: Only tube holes are on the top. Makes it far more awkward when trying to attach it to other cages. One thing crittertrail has right is lots of access points at different places. Bad: A little hard to put together... but so are most of these modular cages. All and all this is a great cage and I'm thinking already of giving my new dwarves one in their cage setup.

Great Cage for Hamsters,
I purchased this cage for my two robo hamsters. I have owned a number of hamster cages and this is one of the best. Unlike enclosed plastic and aquarium style cages, the wire panels provide good air flow and visibility. The cage assembles and disassembles easily for cleaning. It provides good space, an exercise wheel, a food bowl, a water bottle and flexible tubes that are compatible with other tube systems (Habitrail, SAM, Critter Trail, etc.). The plastic base, middle section and top are made of flexible plastic that is resilient to breakage. The cage has 3 levels--the top one is a small transport unit.
The one drawback to the cage is that the provided tubes don't work well for dwarf or robo hamsters (they cannot scale the vertical sections). Because I have robo hamsters, I replaced the tubes in my cage with Critter Trail tubes which are ribbed and easily scaled (the Habitrail and SAM tubes are also difficult, if not impossible, for robo hamsters to scale). Overall, it has proven to be great cage for the hamsters.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My daughter just acquired her first teddy bear hamster. We chose this cage based on other reviews that we read. The hamster appears to be getting around the cage just fine. It is a little tricky getting the tunnels snapped in correctly but we managed. The wheel works well and is quiet. It is pretty easy to clean. The wire sides slide out of the floor bases and the plastic wipes down easily. The water container seems a little long for the height of the cage. Since he is a larger hamster, he has to bend down to drink. The size of the cage fits nicely on top of a book shelf or a computer printer stand. The two levels give the hamster room to climb and roam. Overall we are all happy with the purchase.
