And it even said in the instructions don't place water bottle over food bowl!

Mice love a wheel and use it a lot, and I see it is safe and works quiet.

To start this off, I'm not easy to impress with cages. I generally have several cages linked together for each hamster or pair of hamsters to give them plenty of space to roam. Typically my setups include a mix of homemade cages (bin cages, still the best bet out there if you have time to make one!), aquariums, and crittertrails. I've used several varieties of Critter Trail cages, asides from the ones that are just by look idiotically designed (ie: Critter Trail Revolution). I've also used a few habitrails, but found them generally less easy to work with than the critter trail. I'm not all too fond of SAM's and find the newer habitrail models pretty lacking... actually most of the new models of any of the brands are pretty bad (Crittertrail X and Dazzle are also idiotic).

I saw this and really liked what I saw just from looks alone. And entirely solid second floor! Actually doubling the floorspace and not just giving some tiny shelves as a "second story". Nice little nest area (I wouldn't actually transport a ham ham in anything that small, but as a nest area it works well). Infinitely expandable! Great idea!

So I bought this. I have some issues, most minor. I've finally hooked it up to my pair of campbell's cages and they've found it pretty interesting so far.

My run down of good and bad--

Good: solid second floor. It's great and actually gives them more room.
Good: Wheel is actually a pretty decent wheel. I scavenged it even before I started using it to give my new pair of dwarves a wheel in their crittertrails (I will not use the new crittertrail wheels EVER, they're awful!). Really nice and fairly quiet wheel for something that came with a cage.
Good: The material is actually flexible and not easy to break.

I purchased this cage for my two robo hamsters. I have owned a number of hamster cages and this is one of the best. Unlike enclosed plastic and aquarium style cages, the wire panels provide good air flow and visibility. The cage assembles and disassembles easily for cleaning. It provides good space, an exercise wheel, a food bowl, a water bottle and flexible tubes that are compatible with other tube systems (Habitrail, SAM, Critter Trail, etc.). The plastic base, middle section and top are made of flexible plastic that is resilient to breakage. The cage has 3 levels--the top one is a small transport unit.

The one drawback to the cage is that the provided tubes don't work well for dwarf or robo hamsters (they cannot scale the vertical sections). Because I have robo hamsters, I replaced the tubes in my cage with Critter Trail tubes which are ribbed and easily scaled (the Habitrail and SAM tubes are also difficult, if not impossible, for robo hamsters to scale).

Overall, it has proven to be great cage for the hamsters.

My daughter just acquired her first teddy bear hamster. We chose this cage based on other reviews that we read. The hamster appears to be getting around the cage just fine. It is a little tricky getting the tunnels snapped in correctly but we managed. The wheel works well and is quiet. It is pretty easy to clean. The wire sides slide out of the floor bases and the plastic wipes down easily. The water container seems a little long for the height of the cage. Since he is a larger hamster, he has to bend down to drink. The size of the cage fits nicely on top of a book shelf or a computer printer stand. The two levels give the hamster room to climb and roam. Overall we are all happy with the purchase.

I purchased this cage together with a Critter Universe extension kit, after doing some detailed and careful research. To be completely honest, I would have loved to be able to buy a different product, however, that item was not available in N. America. Having said that, I think this cage was the best possible option for our Syrian hamster, in as far as price and quality are concerned. The cage has a base made of durable see-through plastic, which is deep enough so that the bedding won't come out. The wiring has a smooth finish, and putting together the cage was a piece of cake. The instruction leaflet is written in simple terms and illustrated with enough photos to help you along the way. I was a little worried about the tubes, as I read some reviews which mentioned they were difficult to install. Don't worry, there is an extra instruction sheet that comes with the product and explains exactly how to fit the tubes. Each level of the cage is firmly held in place with strong plastic connectors. The wheel goes on the bottom floor, and is surprisingly quiet. The food bowl snaps into place and the water bottle goes on top of the cage. Now that I mentioned the water bottle I should also say that its design is not the most fortunate. In fact, since the bottle almost reaches the floor, the hamster wouldn't be able to use it, unless maybe it would be lying on its back. Fortunately, I had another water bottle from Suzy's previous cage that I used instead. And since the hole where the water bottle was supposed to fit in can't be used to attach any connector tubes, I simply plugged it with some tape and cardboard.

My hamster seemed to like this cage from the first moment I put her in, and kept running from one floor to the other with definite excitement.
