A doomed planet reveals a terrible plot,
By Anibal Madeira (Lisboa Portugal) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Warhammer 40,000: Exterminatus (Paperback)
Dan Abnett and Ian Edgington are the authors of these action packed compiled series. The art is regular, although some plates are quite good. Naturally this work is a niche product destined to WH 40K fans (a very big niche indeed). Most readers, wich aren't familiar with the cosmology and mythology related to that rich background, will not benefit fully from the story or understand the fanatical and extreme atitudes of the contenders.
The powerful Inquisitor-Psychic Delius Alastor and his Savant Pascal will investigate the planet Magnum Christi where there had been a rebelion and were found immense battle-titans. Why they weren't sensed before is a mystery that might hide something even more terrible than the war-machines, so the Inquisitor will investigate. Among other things, a terrible secret will be found, merchant families disputes will be fought, treason will be unveiled, sacrifice and honor might save the day. Recommended for Warhammer fans, but I believe this story arc is quite compressed. English isn't my native language, so I frequently write incorrectly (sorry); but three typos in a back cover of a book is quite a record!!! Inquistor (inquisitor), Abites (Arbites) and Segeant (Sergeant) are probable Tzeentchian influences on the editor of this book; I might have to call the Inquisition to investigate...

Good story line. Nice illustrations. Not meant to be a novel or comic book, but something like a full size graphic novel.
