A funny delusional Necromancer and a dead serious problem,
By Anibal Madeira (Lisboa Portugal) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Warhammer: Crown of Destruction (Paperback)
Frohlich, one of Vogel's man, is now a sargeant with a nasty spot in his reputation...he is a greatswordsman who retreated - Twice! Although brave and following orders in those occasions, one of his men is always poking in the wound.
Sent to investigate several missing persons, he and his small army get involved in a necromancers power play (Brecht is a really funny character) and in a lot of trouble where the necromancer is just the tip of the iceberg The skaven want their property back and a very upset dark lord didn't like a little bit that one of his "henchman" went absent without leave. Good and engaging plot. The art is very irregular; sometimes almost naif, others quite detailed. The plates are very good indeed. One of the characters is really annoying, but the necromancer, the dark lord and Frolich are Warhammer in its purest form; living in a grim world of perilous adventure...with a dark humour. If you are a Warhammer online Age of Reckoning player, you will have another reason to buy this book. There is an exclusive ingame item code inside this comic - "The Book of Boom!" |
