Shades of the Empire is a excellent sourcebook about nine representative organizations in the Old World. Each organization help to make the life in the Old world more vivid for the GM and PC. It also feature a new path of witch careers with the Hedge wizards. They have, also, their own specific spell list. All the organizations have extensive descriptions perfectly in accordance with the Warhammer flavour.

The groups detailed in this book are very well described and greatly useful in any wfrp game. I would recommend this book just for the reading value even if you dont want to use any of the groups listed specifically in your campaign.

They really add a lot of color to these. I love the background info that they provide with each one

This is probably one of FF games best books written for WHFRP to date and the last! They have this wild notion to go with a hybrid board/rpg 3rd edition at $99.00 for warhammer now, I see all WHFRP books now skyrocketing to higher prices everywhere now.
