This is an all-around great game and great hobby, check it out.

If you buy this with the Battleforce, you now have a desent and small army that is very agile for beginners or as a great addition.

Therefore I think it's a great deal and almost a must have for any 'in your face' close combat space marine army.

Intro:
First of all, Warhammer 40k is more of a hobby/strategy game rather than a toy, with that being said, these products are not for young children, they are for teenagers and up. For example, one would be unlikely to purchase a model airplane for a really young child, but a young teen would be much more likely.

This Kit:
Simply put, WOW, this kit is amazing. For anyone using the Space Marine Codex this beast is a must have. It sports a 13 front and side army, is hard as heck to take down, is a monstrosity in close combat as well as a hunter for armored vehicles. The kit includes plenty of parts to customize this bad-boy and provides a small variety of weaponry to outfit him with. I enjoyed this kit, as well as the Venerable Dreadnought kit, because the extra parts provided within each respective kit that are left unused are easily utilized on future models and projects. This kit is amazing, the Dreadnought's stats are astonishing, and if nothing else, he looks mean and aggressive, the way someone would likely want their army to present itself.

Space Marines: Venerable Dreadnought

The Game:
The Warhammer universe is very vast and is filled with more lore than any one person could explain in any short period of time, from books to video games, GamesWorkshop has done it all and the mechanics for this particular game are easy to learn and easy to retain which ultimately leads to a fun and satisfying gaming experience. For those trying to get into the hobby it is a bit price but well worth it because, unlike card games such as Magic The Gathering or YuGiOh, this game requires little to no upkeep.

I purchased the Iron Clad thru troll tactics. I was very suprised that it came with one of the neatest 40mm bases ever! If you made the Assualt on Black Reach's dreadnought, they look the most awesome together! I recommand this it as a supplement to any Chaos or loyal Space Marine chapter. If you buy this with the Battleforce, you now have a desent and small army that is very agile for beginners or as a great addition. You save a lot as well. it's also one of the toughest models that will stay together thru most punishment. Don't regret buying this product from Amazon!

The Ironclad Dreadnought is a close combat specialist and comes with weapons to excel at that role. So be aware that it really only has one main ranged weapon (hurricane bolter). It comes with 3 close combat weapons: siesmic hammer, power fist/claw, and a chainfist.

If you had a spare dreadnought there are enough pieces that you could make two Ironclads from this kit. Therefore I think it's a great deal and almost a must have for any 'in your face' close combat space marine army.

Leg piece snapped broken in the knee joint, when I was detaching it from the frame. And I'm not even sure whether the attached decorations are in fact stickers, or are supposed to be cut out using scissors and glued to the frame. Guess why.

I'm just starting to get into 40k and am trying to build a grey knight army. This Dreadnought was a little cheaper than the ordinary so figured I could save myself a few bucks by ordering this one. It's only after opening the box that I've realized almost none of the weapons or accessories are allowed using the GK codex. So in reality I'm looking at spending another 20 bucks at Forge World to get it some weapons that are usable. Otherwise the model looks very nice and the base is already customized just needs to be painted. But for a GK player not a great purchase.
