I purchased this to replace an older version that we've used in our restaurants for 8+ years. They are durable except for the plastic gear where the "stick" part connects with the motor part. If you do not have a good connection, you can easily strip the gear rendering the whole thing useless. Providing you have a tight fit, it should last you a long time.

Every summer we make salsa out of our extra pepped, onions, and tomatoes that we grow on our farm. I Roast everything and place in a 3 gallon bucket and blend....Bam!!!

Great price. Great piece of restaurant equipment. Should last for years. Great for everyday restaurant use in making soups, sauces, and homemade salad dressings.

I purchased this to make soap. I expected large, but when I unpacked it my 13 year-old son said, "you could power a canoe with this!" The motor is heavy, so be aware of that if you have wrist or shoulder issues. It's fabulous for what I purchased it for, and I would purchase it again!

This Waring Commercial WSB70 is anything but heavy duty.
It cannot blend frozen fruit to make a smoothie.
It has a hard time blending soups.
My chefs are telling me that this model cannot be used in a commercial kitchen.

I made a mistake ordering this unit to replace two small junkers I wore out in the past. It is a quality machine, no doubt, but simply too much for the home cook. The 40qt capacity means the size of the pot so since this machine is designed for commercial use, you can imagine what it did to a 5-quart pot of steamed potatoes when trying to mash them. There is even a warning in the instruction manual that says "WARNING - COMMERCIAL USE ONLY." I have a Waring blender that is 50 years old and it looks like new and runs as good as it ever did so no doubt Waring makes a quality product. The description on Amazon's website should be more descriptive as to this machine's purpose, unless of course the buyer is cooking for several hundred people and makes potatoes by the hundred-pound bag or soup in a 20-gallon pot.
