5.0 out of 5 stars Perfectly grilled a wide assortment of meats....
My family and I had a recent BBQ and set this unit up on the picnic table next to a cooler full of assorted meats..Guests were grilling knockwurst, brots, wieners, franks, sausage and kielbasa. We thought the kids would love it, But all our guests raved about it. By evenings end the grill was a mess,Unit's Cover and removable tray in dishwasher, wash and wipe down non-stick...

1.0 out of 5 stars Good Idea Shoddy Manufacturing
The idea of convenient store hotdog grills is a good one, nothing beats that taste. This particular grill however has some serious manufacturing flaws. First of all the lower temp is not sufficient to do more than warm a weiner and takes a long time to do that straight from the fridge. The high temp will cook them to charcoal in twenty minutes. You can switch from...

My family and I had a recent BBQ and set this unit up on the picnic table next to a cooler full of assorted meats..Guests were grilling knockwurst, brots, wieners, franks, sausage and kielbasa. We thought the kids would love it, But all our guests raved about it. Not really designed for a crowd. Perfect for our small family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Griller, May 12, 2007
This review is from: Waring HDG100 200-Watt Hot-Dog Griller (Kitchen)
My son loves the hot dogs at Home Depot...he has to get one every time we go there. After one of our recent trips there he had to get a hot dot, after he ate it he said "wish we could make this at home". So, I found this one on Amazon.com, it seemed like the best quality and value.

For best results, cook on low setting with the top down. It takes a little longer, but, it's worth the wait! The hot dogs were so good, we were eathing them for breakfast.

It is so easy to use, the kids can do it on their own.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Hot Dog Cooker for the Money, April 16, 2009

I agree with some other reviews that say the switch feels flimsy and the lid hinges can get broken easily. I still like the product for the $60 I paid for it. Didn't want one of those circus looking models which are smaller and more cheaply built.
This unit will fit 6 bun length dogs. It will technically cook the dogs in 8 minutes (after warm up) but I like mine more well done so I cook them for 15 to 20 minutes depending on the diameter of the hot dog.
Mine also came with the power light broken (this is why the 4 star rating instead of 5) but I'll probably fix that myself after the warranty runs out. I think I can tell when the unit is on.
I don't understand what others expect for $60. If you want a tank of a product then you should go spend 15 times more for a commercial unit.
I like the product, its only 200 watts and I don't think you will find a better hot dog roller for the money.

The grill arrived much sooner than expected which was a wonderful surprise.
It was every bit as described and I'm thrilled with it.
It's so much more fun to grill my hot dogs now than it was in a pan on the stove.

I was a little skeptical about purchasing a hot dog griller. I'm glad I did, this is a great product and it lives up to its word. Its easy to use and easy to clean.
6 perfectly grilled hotdogs in just 8 minutes! I love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Poolside, it's a hit!, August 28, 2009
This review is from: Waring HDG100 200-Watt Hot-Dog Griller (Kitchen)
With it's only problem that it only holds 6 dogs, my weekend guests at poolside loved the idea of having a hotdog when they chose to- and the cook did not have to doing any additional cooking!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Waring Pro Hot Dog cooker, August 5, 2009
This review is from: Waring HDG100 200-Watt Hot-Dog Griller (Kitchen)
This is a really great hot dog cooker. It is may be a little too much for cooking just a couple of hot dogs, but when the occassion calls for more, then it is really great.

We purchased this as a gift for a friend's child. She loves making hot dogs, and we've benefited many times from her hobby. At a Super Bowl party, I overheard 5+ people mention "The hot dogs are great! Gotta get one of these things!" Two thumbs up for this griller.
