Light weight and very easy to use.

It has a FABULOUS slow/start speed that doesn't go fast - love the different speeds and LOVE the timer on top.

My old Sunbeam could no longer handle thick mixtures, so I purchased four new hand-mixers -- a couple Kitchenaids, Cuisinart, and something else (can't remember). Returned them all (mostly because the slowest speed was too fast). Purchased the Waring Pro WHM100 about a year ago, and I'm very pleased with it (AND it cost less than any of the other brands). It starts very slow on the lowest speed setting, so the mixture doesn't spray out of the bowl. The thin-wire beaters can handle even thick mixtures, and I like the styling and color. I did not think I'd care about the digital time indicator, but it's actually very nice to have. Much easier to watch that clock than to glance repeatedly at your wall clock to keep track of how much time you've been mixing (plus I've learned that I have been routinely underestimating the time I've been beating something). My only very insignificant quibble is that I think the mixer should lean back a little more when it's out of the bowl and resting on the counter, because a very heavy mixture tends to make it want to fall forward (so just keep it over the bowl).

Very happy with the mixer. Used an inexpensive Sunbeam handmixer for over 20 years until the beaters rusted out and broke off. This mixer is heavier, but easy to use and keep clean. The new beaters won't rust and can even be washed in the dishwasher. The digital timer isn't necessary, but it's surprisingly convenient because I no longer have to set my microwave timer. Would recommend this mixer to others.

I just got this mixer and have only used it once but I love it! I have had some bad luck with mixers recently. I really feel like this one will be able to handle thick mixtures without trouble. I turned it up to the highest setting just to check it out and it felt like a power tool. And the low setting is actually low and doesn't make everything spray out of the bowl. The timer is really handy also. Be careful with the eject button though. It actually shot the beaters out. But I thought it was kinda funny.

This hand mixer works flawlessly and cleanup is very easy as there is plenty of room for my fingers to clean the blades after use. So far I've used it when baking cakes and it never stopped for anything...except when I tell it to :) Very powerful mixer...and that may be it's only flaw. When mixing cake mixes I found myself using the lowest speed most of the time, and maybe upto 3 towards the end. This thing goes all the way up to 10! Even on speed 1 it seems like too much power when starting off, especially when mixing sugar or powder based ingredients. So I understand some of the reviews when they say that this thing can do some heavy jobs that other hand mixers can't, which is probably a plus for some.

So this is a great POWER hand mixer...emphasize on the POWAH! If this were one of my power tools, then it would deserve a full 5 star rating...but as a kitchen appliance it needs to back off on some of that RAW POWER and should come with a .5 setting, or at least re-evaluate what setting 1 should be.

This item is exactly as described. It mixes batters much thicker than most hand mixers will handle. I was skeptical of the small wire beaters, but it works great! On/Off and speeds are easy to control with push button controls. I'm very happy with this! I would recommend this to anyone who cooks or bakes.

I was looking for an inexpensive mixer after our cheapo one from Target went kaput, and found this highly-rated mixer on Amazon.

What can I say, it's the BEST darn deal I've got on a kitchen appliance yet! The count-up timer function is really useful for when recipes say "Beat for about 2 minutes" - made me realize how I completely underestimated how long 2 minutes can be! The mixer gets off to a controlled start so it doesn't splatter batter everywhere, but gains speed quickly once you up the settings. It has enough speed and power and does well for beating egg whites to stiff peaks for Tiramisu.

The eject function is awesome for expelling the beaters into the sink and I can easily put the mixer away even before I have to clean up. The mixer body itself is sleek, sturdy and feels very solid and well-made.

It's a GREAT little product for a great price, and much more space-saving than a stand-mixer, where kitchen counter real estate is scarce in my little urban apartment. Highly recommend!

I am a very thorough purchaser and do extensive research before moving forward with a buy. After going through blogs, reviews, recommendations and more, I decided to go with this mixer. I'm pleased to say that the hard work I took researching the best of the best paid off. I couldn't be happier.

Ive made homemade double chocolate chunck with almond cookies and it mixed it perfectly. I've also made an assortment of cupcakes from simple red velvet to a grown up carrot cake and this mixer didn't disappoint. The trick (although not really a secret) is to mix the dry and liquid ingredients separately then combine the two slowly and perfecto! Works every time. I highly recommend.

I bought this mixer from Amazon after reading the other reviews. I almost always use a stand mixer but find a hand held mixer comes in handy. (no pun intended). Great speed control, number 1 speed is great, nice and slow, no mess when using it. Mixer has more than enough power for my applications. Light weight and very easy to use. Easy to clean up after use. You can't go wrong with this hand held mixer.
