This game is one of the most addictive games I have ever played despite having played over 200 games in I still keep coming back for more!! never get tired of trying to level my heroes up and build my armies up level my armies up.. this game never gets boring!! the best part about the game is all the races that you can use and variety of heroes

I love this game. There are so many different things to do. I have been playing it for years and have just bought my third disk because I have moved so many times and keep losing them. I keep hoping that they will make a warloards battlecry 4 but that hasn't seemed to happen yet. You can play over the internet, choose your own map and who to fight against, or try to beat the game. I would recommend this game to everyone.

16 different races to choose from, each with unique enough skill and unit trees to make the replay value immense
attitude and formation game controls work fantastic

if used on a new computer, be sure to run in compatibility mode for XP sp2

GREAT GAME

This is one of my favorite games. If you like Age of Empires or Warcraft, you should love this one too!

I have played Starcraft, Warcraft and even World of Warcraft. But at the end of the day, I still go back and play this game because it is so much fun. What I like best: Plenty of races to choose from and a persistent hero.

(First off I am not good at writing useful critisism)
Ultimately I am glad I bought it because I think the game could be another step to games I and other slow fingered armchair RPG/wargamers will love if the effort continues trying to improve this format. My respect goes to these people who are trying very hard to provide games for people who dont want to or can't hit a series of hotkeys at blinding rates to create 52.4 specific units to win in 8.325 minutes if his opponent doesn't hit his hotkeys at a more efficient rate than he. Then feel good because your group of bars/numbers ran out slower than the enemies. Also, I have little respect for the idea of practically re-using or re-skinning a game and adding a pitiful series of battles and calling it a campaign or story. Then say the game is meant to play other people online... so, therefore, learn to drink more coffee and/or hit hotkeys faster, then, get used to being on a big battlefield that you can only see a limited square of and don't say we are to business-minded to add real story and content that makes the price of our re-hashing pre-existing concepts worth it.
The ideas of the creators of Warlords..etc.. are exactly what I am looking for, Roleplaying with Tactical Real-Time-PauseCommand Combat. But, In the end it feels like a typical RTS with one 'too close" camera position. It's not solid feeling like Blitzkrieg, Dungeon Siege, Baldurs Gate, etc,... , where you can pull out a victory by confident maneuver and become attached to you characters (Plural) and Thier needs... BattlecryIII IS certainly is a much better version of a witless RTS
..but simply put, the game doesn't hold my interest enough to play it. I will keep buying future attempts of these types of games in hopes for the one that IMO accomplishs the elusive golden ideal. Realtime + Pause/Command + Roleplaying w/ Group Party + TACTICAL Combat + VERY flexible easy to use Camera + An extensive quality storyline and campaigns + SOLID FLUID FUN GAME.
4 stars because It's a decent attempt to reach that goal.
