5.0 out of 5 stars A new Holiday Classic
Usually I'm nostalgic for the classics at Christmas, the songs we've listened to for years - But this album is too good to miss and Warm Me Up is one of the best songs on it. Elliott Yamin's voice is like Hot Buttered Rum. You will find yourself adding it to that short list of Holiday music that you wish you could listen to all year long. In fact, you just might!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Hook
This MP3 has a nice syncopated hook (..."come warm me up, it's cold outside), but that's about it. The verse is dull in every way, melodically, harmonically and rhythmically. The engineering is fine, but the arrangement is unremarkable. It makes fine background music to accompany whatever else you're doing. It's okay.

I LOVE this song from Elliott -- it's a holiday original that can be listened to all year long. Sweet and sexy, it's just a feel-good, romantic tune that will stay with you all day!!

Artist has a wonderful voice. While this song is not my person favorite it is good and will remain on my ipod.

As always thanks Amazon for the free tune.

I'm not usually a big fan of original Christmas songs; especailly cheesy R & B sex-mas carols. :-) But this song is really great. I'd never really heard Yamin, other than his radio hits, but this song is really well done. His voice has a sensual warmth to it but the lyrics aren't dripping with inuendos. It's a subtly sexy song, and a great addition to my holiday playlist!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great song, but you *have* to download Amazon software!, December 9, 2008

This is a great song, just in time for the holidays. However, after the free holiday song released on the 6th, you have to download the Amazon software in order to download the songs because they have them listed as "albums". So they are no longer in mp3 format but in Amazon Digital Music Download format.

The reason is because it's only for people from the US.

And i only realized it after i downloaded and installed the Amazon.com MP3 downloader, i am gonna uninstall the downloader seems it will be totally useless for me, sigh. :(

Wow, maybe I would like this if he could sing. Or if I was 10 years old, MAYBE
No, this was terrible. Worse than any of the other American Idol allumni that I've heard.
Frankly I don't see how he got as far as he did on American Idol and thought his singing exploits would end when he lost, but NOOOOOoo. This guy just won't give it up!
DUDE! YOU CAN'T SING!

3.0 out of 5 stars Is it really Elliott's "kind of holiday"?, December 17, 2008

Why is Elliott's album called, "My Kind Of Holiday"?

There's no shame in Christians recording Christmas music -- it is, after all their holiday. And even though I'm Jewish, that doesn't mean I can't enjoy "holiday" music.

But as a fellow Jew, I can't help but be a tiny-bit offended by the album title.

Is Elliott ashamed of his Jewish heritage?
