First time I used this set I put preheated sake into the decanter and it kept it warm/hot. Since then, I pour in cold sake and light the tealight about 20 minutes before the first drink, and it's the perfect temp. Only complaint is the cups should be about twice the size.

I got this set for my husband and he loves it! It really works as far as keeping the sake warm. His only complaint was that after using it for the first time, the bottom part where the candle goes cracked a little. Overall though he was very pleased and we would recommend getting this product.
