I'm not really sure how to categorize Velvet Chain, I heard them for the first time on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and they intrigued me enough to look for more music. Strong and Treason were the songs they played on the show. Both of which are on this album.
It's stylish, dark and moody music with a good dance beat. Erika's voice is gorgeous and the lyrics are emotional. My favorite songs on the album are Treason, both versions "A love came like a hurricane/Then left its devastation" Time and Days "All of my ambitions/Push me through the years" It's been a favorite since I bought the album a few years ago. |
