This special thirteenth installment in the WARMACHINES series takes a look at Operation Desert Storm through the camera lenses of members of 3rd Platoon, Alpha Company, 8th Marine Tank Battalion. In these pages we see the life experienced by U.S. Troops while pushing their way into Iraqi-occupied Kuwait in 1991. We see how they ate, slept, showered, played, and fought in the desert. Many useful photographs appear of U.S. equipment in action and undergoing maintenance, as well as the rare U.S. casualty, and captured and destroyed Iraqi equipment. This book provides a new look at the conflict and is a welcome addition to the collections of scale modelers, military enthusiasts, and historians.
