5.0 out of 5 stars Tanks!
Great subject matter, but lacking in some areas. Need more overall photos of vehicles. Other thanthat great!

3.0 out of 5 stars War machines No 4. Israeli Shermans & Derivatives
Was very disappointed in this book. Israel purchased a great deal of M-4A1 Shermans and initially rearmed them with the D-75-50, the French derivative of the Panther's long gun. The only M-4A1 shown in the book was on the front cover and was not found or included in the text anywhere in the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Brief Overview, June 13, 2008

This book gives a brief overview of some different types of Israeli Shermans and variants. It covers about 15 different vehicles in 30 pages, ranging from the basic M4A1 to the M50/M51 to ambulance and even live target variants. All pictures seem to have been taken at the same museum.
I bought this as a reference for building a model of an M51 and was somewhat disapointed. Although it does devote 8 pages to that version (some variants only get 2 pictures on a single page), they are all of the same vehicle. I'm still looking for historical pictures of vehicles in use so this book didn't do it for me.
