5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT ALBUM!
Avenged Sevenfold is one of my favorite bands. I decided to purchase this album after buying both Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking the Fallen and I have no regrets. Although this cd only has four songs, the Warmness on the Soul music video makes up for it. Avenged Sevenfold is an amazing band and they blend punk and metal very well. 3.0 out of 5 stars A good beginning for a great band
As always, I did not enjoy this album on the first listen. I had to warm up to it, and its brevity really surprised me. It contains only 4 tracks and 15 minutes of music. The gem of the album is the title song. It shows Shadows at his vocal best and most musical. The other songs were more of the screamo type, and while they had their own real singing parts, the words are...

5.0 out of 5 stars Warmness of the Soul by Avenged Sevenfold, July 26, 2008

This is the introduction to the rock band Avenged Sevenfold. Although, they've changed their style of music since this cd, it's a good way to start with them.

The song Warmness of the Soul is beautiful. The other songs are more hard rock.

If you're a fan of A7X, I recommend this cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE, August 15, 2011

A+ is all I have to say. The audio quality was superb, and the artwork looked original, it's perfect. I thought someone had burned a copy of this at home and sold it, but honestly, the quality is so good, I doubt it. This was the only affordable one I could find, and it was worth even more than I bought it for. Plus, I love Avenged Sevenfold, so of course the songs were great too.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good beginning for a great band, May 1, 2011
This review is from: Warmness on the Soul (Audio CD)
As always, I did not enjoy this album on the first listen. I had to warm up to it, and its brevity really surprised me. It contains only 4 tracks and 15 minutes of music. The gem of the album is the title song. It shows Shadows at his vocal best and most musical. The other songs were more of the screamo type, and while they had their own real singing parts, the words are mostly unintelligible. No words were in the booklet that came with my copy (but it was used, so maybe there were pages with the words at one time?), so I couldn't ever sit and follow along with the booklet. The final track is regrettably short, as it has some decent merit that would be revealed in later albums.
I don't listen to the album that often, but when I do, it's not a bad experience. I just wish it had a little more substance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great EP, January 18, 2011

Sure, it may have only 4 songs, but it has one thing every true Avenged Sevenfold needs. The Warmness On The Soul music video. It may be old, but its really awesome. This EP came out originally before the first cd came out, so you shouldn't have expected a lot.

Warmness On The Soul (Single Version) - Its a great song, and I've let people listen to it who aren'ts A7X fans, and they loved it.

Darkness Surrounding - It was the first song I heard of the actual album, and I loved it, just a great song.

We Come Out At Night - I love this song, my second favorite on the album.

To End The Rapture (Heavy Metal Version) - I couldn't really tell a difference between the two, but they are both great songs.

Overall, great EP. Sure, it may be more than Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, but this is more for true Avenged Sevenfold fans, and not for everyone.

If you are a fan of Avenged 7X, then you will find this early demo, a must have for your collection. It is interesting to hear where it all started and see their progression. I must also give a shout out to Your Star Music regarding their customer satisfaction pledge. They went out of their way to make it right when the disc case was damaged. Very pleasant and smooth trasaction.
