5.0 out of 5 stars Warm and Dry
We purchased this for our new house, and it delivers! We have warm, dry towels (not hot, not mildewy) when we reach for them every morning. We put it on a plug-in timer so it only runs an hour before we need to use it and another hour or so after, and we've had nothing but clean, dry towels. We hard-wired ours and mounted it on the wall, and it looks clean and classy...

3.0 out of 5 stars Serviceable Towel warmer
I bought this towel warmer after about a year of contemplating whether this would fit in my small bathroom. Amazon was running a terrific sale so for the price, under $100, it is hard to beat. Installation was fairly easy (I have mine plugged in). Most important, it does warm my towels. Although it's not a hot as I expected it to be. The satin nickel finish is cheap...

We put it on a plug-in timer so it only runs an hour before we need to use it and another hour or so after, and we've had nothing but clean, dry towels. We hard-wired ours and mounted it on the wall, and it looks clean and classy and works great. This is also a great size--don't be convinced by bigger-is-better--there are plenty of rungs and we fold our towels twice and they work great. We liked it so much we got one for our kids--four towels, clean and dry. Good value, great product.

Installation was fairly easy (I have mine plugged in). Most important, it does warm my towels. Although it's not a hot as I expected it to be. The satin nickel finish is cheap looking and the adhesive used for the stickers on the rails removed part of the finish when I took them off. Overall for the price I am happy with my purchase.

Purchasing this unit is the greatest thing I could have done for my bathroom. NO more musty smelling towels, and always dry for after a shower. The unit is hot, but certainly not burning to the touch, and DON'T expect it to create "Dryer warm" towels, just dry, clean smelling towels. I want to put one in the other bathroom, once I can figure out how to run electricity to that point.
BTW, mine was hardwired, and it looks perfect, like it really belongs there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works very well!! But......, June 22, 2009

Towel rack works very good at drying towels and cloths that are damp to keep them from getting musty. I put this on a timer to have it run only 10hrs a day instead of 24. Ad says rack is satin nickle, Wish it said
it was painted satin nickle. Looks OK but real satin nickle metal would have been better.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's perfect for a small bathroom space., December 15, 2009

This review is from: Warmrails Hardwire/Softwire Regent Wall Mounted Towel Warmer and Drying Rack, Chrome (Kitchen)
We bought the Warmrails Hardwire/Softwire Towel warmer a few weeks ago, installed it ourselves and we really like it. We actually had an ulterior motive for buying the towel warmer: We wanted a safe, ongoing heat source in a small bathroom to help keep the moisture content down in a room that typically stays damper than we'd like. So, on that note, the Towel Warmer is successful. Having the towel warmer going 24/7 is keeping the small bathroom space dryer overall with no extra moisture clinging to the windows and ceiling. The towel warmer fits well on a small wall space, AND, we are enjoying warm towels when we get out of the shower. This one works perfectly for us. We'd recommend it to others. Thanks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not very big but does the job -- check the price!, February 27, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Basically this item does what is said in the description. It warms and dries towels. If you have large bath towels they will have to be folded because the heater is not very large.
The price was $95 and I paid $35 during a gold box deal so that was really a bargain. But now that the price is over $160, I think this is too expensive for the quality and size.

I've had this experience before - a quality US brand gets taken over by a Chinese maker, they cost reduce it and turn it into an inferior product. The picture is of the US made Warmrails - that is NOT what you will get - no welded seams, painted NOT satin nickel. The rails were loose on the one I received. It says "UL" on it but I doubt the new model was really approved from what I know about UL requirements.

DON'T TRUST ANY REVIEW WRITTEN BEFORE 2009 - IT WAS A DIFFERENT PRODUCT!

They do get warm and do the job, and the price is lower than most of the other brands. CAVEAT EMPTOR.

5.0 out of 5 stars PERFECT for Green & Busy Moms !, September 17, 2008
I can't say how happy I am with this product! I bought two last xmas when we knew we were moving to a new house and it's cut down on the amount of laundry I have to wash, it delivers nice warm toasty towels and dries them quickly. No marks on the walls so far (I was concerned with the heat maybe the walls would get yucky.. but nope)!!

You get the best results if you layer towels (don't try to weave them or put them on single). I've had as many as 4 towels on this rack and they dry quickly and all are warm !

One of ours is not hardwired the plug is at the bottom behind the side rung - you can't even tell it's there. I had it set up to hard wire, but then I realized I wanted an extra outlet (should have put one in the master closet! LOL) so it worked out well for us ... I just had the electrican shorten the cord so it just plugs in and that's it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Towel Warmer, February 18, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The quality of the towel warmer (finish and construction) is outstanding and the mounting instructions very easy. It works great and is a fantastic value. It can either mount to the wall with the cord showing or you can run an electrical box behind it so nothing shows. The hardware for either installation is included. Highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars It's true: warm towels, not hot towels, January 13, 2008
The reviewers who mention you won't get "dryer hot" towels are absolutely right. My towels are sorta warm, and they are dry, but my towels always got dry hanging on the shower rod. The instructions tell you to really put towels on--more towels equals more heat. It seems the towels on top insulate the lower towels, keeping the heat in. Towels on the three middle shelves are warm enough--if you keep towels on top! The bottom towel and the top towel never seem to really get warm. I put a hand towel on top, just for drying hands. I should also mention I'm in Maine, and it's January, so what we want for a hot towel at 5:30am may be quite different from what you're after!

Bottom line: Nice enough, I'm not returning it, but it's not worth what I paid. If the unit were $65, then I'd be telling all my friends. As it is, I just say "eh."
