Long considered a standard bathroom appliance in European households, a heated towel racks keep towels fresher longer, eliminate musty towel smell, cut down on laundry loads and save wear and tear on towels. Designed to run continuously 24 hours-a-day/7 days-a-week, it's reliable and energy efficient, using less power than your average light bulb.
How Warmrails Work
Warmrails towel racks are warmed by dry heating elements that utilize the Filatherm technology, which similar to the elements used in radiant under-floor heating that provides years of maintenance free and energy-efficient heat. Because of its safe design, the Warmrails Hampton towel rack can operate 24 hours a day at factory-set temperature, using less electricity than a standard incandescent light bulb. No temperature controls are provided since Warmrails' heated towel racks are designed to operate to the optimum performance level.
It's also a great alternative to completely drying your towels using your laundry dryer. On average, Warmrails racks use between 35 to 175 watts of electricity (compared to dryers that on average use 4,900 watts), which enables you to save on unnecessary laundry loads by keeping your towels dry and fresh between uses. Allow at least 50 minutes for the warmth to build up in the fibers of the towel--about 15 minutes for the Warmrail to warm up and the remainder for the heat to gently radiate up through the layers of towel.

Measure your bathroom first,

This review is from: Warmrails Traditional Towel Warmer & Drying Rack (Kitchen)
My wife bought this for me for Christmas (so she could use it, too, of course),and it serves exactly as advertised. We can comfortably hang two or three bath towels on this to warm or dry them before showering. They do not get as warm as, say, a towel fresh out of the clothes dryer, but it serves well enough.
Because of what we noticed after assembling and placing this rack, I would like to recommend two things to the potential buyer. The first is to measure your bathroom and place a piece of cardboard cut to the same size and folded so it will stand up on its own to get an idea of how much room this will use. Keep in mind the power cord is only about six feet long, and your outlet needs to be close enough. Our bathroom is small and we have to move it near the electrical outlet to plug it in, and later off to the side when our morning showers are complete. This towel warmer is not heavy at all, but for some, it may be a real inconvenience to move it around. The other recommendation is to get a timer to plug this into. It takes no less than half an hour for the towels to get noticably warm, but I don't want to run it all night. I fixed that problem by getting a timer at the home center and set it to turn on an hour before my alarm clock goes off.

Performs as described... Most people who complain that the towels don't get warm or dry enough have not used one before and does not know how to use it. The best way to utilize the heat is to wrap the towels around the heating bars like a coil or zig-zag the towel around the heating rails. Create as much contact with the towel surface to the hot surface. Do not simply hang the towel like you do on an ordinary towel rail there as there is a lot of air gaps. So at the most this unit will take 2 large towels and heat and dry them properly. NO MORE DAMP TOWELS IN THE MORNING!!!
