This strange looking weapon/tool does not work at all. It barely scratched the surface of our walpaper to score it. Actually it didnt even penetrate the paper at all my husband said. He ended up using the palm held scorer that we purchased years ago from Lowes. So, do yourself a favor and don't order this tool. I'm in the process of asking for a refund. I hope this was helpful.

I had a lot of top of the wall wallpaper border to be removed from a bedroom and bathroom. I discovered that I had to remove border that had been applied over some other border that had been painted over. So I needed to remove two layers of border. I had one of the usual little hand-held wallpaper scorers, but that took a lot of elbow grease, and it would not go all the way through both layers. The Warner perforator worked great because the long handle let me apply pressure to the wall that the little scorer wouldn't, the Warner perforator points are longer and much sharper, and the width of the roller let me perforate a lot of border at one time. The length of the points went all the way through the two borders. I used a steamer on some of it, and Wallwik wallpaper remover on the rest. It was still a lot of work, but the Warner tool made it much easier.

I've tried just about every available tool to score wall paper to aid removal. The wall paper in my home was not plasticized, grass cloth, Sanitas, etc. Just plain old wall paper. Looks like whoever installed it bought it at some clearance sale. The biggest problem was, they used really good paste and adhered it well to the wall. This tool worked better than all the rest. It is a bit large and bulky and is not the best in tight places. On large wall expanses, it cannot be beat. The points are really sharp, and you need to be careful or you can injure yourself, harm furniture, etc. Takes a little skill to optimize your technique, but the learning curve seemed minimal.

This is what you want to get the job done fast. It is better that the small wheel type preforators. It is about 8 inches wide and 24 inches handel and all. It works.

The tool is a little dangerous and even looks like a Middle Ages weapon. However, you can score a wall 5X's as fast as the little round tools they sell at Home Depot. Its hard to judge the depth of the holes with this, so you'll likely be forced to skim-coat after the paper is off. Its still worth it.

After breaking my second Paper Tiger, I decided to order this along with a few more Paper Tigers. This wall cover perforator does next to nothing to my twice painted wallpaper, which is all I have left. If the wallpaper weren't painted, the Paper Tigers wouldn't have broken. While this will probably not break from over use, it is also worthless to me. Eventually I'll find something useful for this tool, just not for wallpaper removal. So, save yourself some money and buy the Paper Tiger, and not one of its knock offs either. The triple head Paper Tiger is even better, lasts longer, but is more bulky and it is not depth limited.

Great for perforation of vinyl wall covering to reduce mold/mildew,

I used this product to perforate vinyl wall covering to let the wall breathe to reduce mold and mildew. Outside walls of business were begining to get the tell-tell pink spots caused by mold/mildew. Perforating the wall covering and wiping down with bleach/water is causing the pink spots to fade. Saves labor and expense removing vinyl wall covering.
