5.0 out of 5 stars Endless Fun!
This game rocks! The first night of playing, I think I played through my bedtime. I was too into the game and didn't realize I had to wake up for work in the next few hours!
I'm not much of a gamer and thought maybe this game wouldn't work for me since I'm a 37 year old man but who knew?? This game is great for all ages!

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay
It is a fun game, the same as other LEGO games, but along with the other the PC port is plagued by bugs and errors that make the game less enjoyable, with zero followup by developers.

3.0 out of 5 stars AI completely broken,
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
1. The AI is totally broken. Many times my teammate is so lost that I have to pick up two controllers and control BOTH PLAYERS AT ONCE to get past areas. This is unacceptable, especially late in the series when other games like Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures did it way better. Did they just get lazy during testing? Who knows...
2. Because it's not aping a movie (like Star Wars or Indiana Jones), it lacks the specific scene-gags those games used to create humor. Instead, it substitutes Robin basically being an idiot in every scene... it kinda gets old.
3. Batman and (especially) Robin's "Suits" are no fun. Batman's Glide Suit and Sonic Suit (with the bat-calling upgrade) are kind of cool, but for the most part these suits are only used once or twice per level and thus feel tacked-on.
Maybe they did this because Batman has a smaller cast (very few heroes, very few villains, a bunch of filler--who wants to play as "goon" or "security guard"??) but Robin especially stinks. His suit-powers include sinking in water (whoopee), vacuuming up puzzle pieces, and slowly clomping around in magnetic shoes. In short, if your friend is Batman, you don't wanna jump in and join him/her as Robin... it's like being Batman's garbage man.
I still play this game; it's not terrible. It's just not well-realized, with some design problems (character selection), inferior humor to other games (due to vague source material--comics? movies? what?), and plain broken AI. The highlights are the Batcave and Danny Elfman's awesome orchestral score, which carries the whole game.
Now that I write this, I find myself concluding that without the score, the game would have hardly felt like Batman. Maybe you should go pick it up... Batman: Original Motion Picture Score

This review is from: LEGO Batman [Download] (Software Download)Typical LEGO humor and antics makes this fun and safe/appropriate for all ages from my 5 yr old son, who can beat the pants off his 8 yr old sister, to mom and dad. There is a healthy dose of team work and puzzle solving invoked to stimulate the noggin, but not so difficult that my 5 y.o. can't solve/play on his own. The many diverse villain themed adventures will provide your kids and you weeks of bonding time.
5.0 out of 5 stars LEGO Batman rocks,
