4.0 out of 5 stars Stinkerriffic!!
There are just so many cartoon charcters that really have continued to defined the feelings of animation from Warner Brothers. 3.0 out of 5 stars Warner Brothers Golden Jubilee 24 Karat Collection of Pepe Le Pew's Skunk tales
I wish it had been on DVD and not VHS. For the money, it should have had more cartoons. Would I buy this product again, no!

There are just so many cartoon charcters that really have continued to defined the feelings of animation from Warner Brothers. Yet, some of them just don't get as much credit from standards like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and the orignal Warner superstar, Porky Pig. Arguably, when each of the hits from Warner Brothers Golden Jubilee Collection was completed in the 1980's, it remains as the cornerstone to so many cartoon collections. Pepe Le Pew, is definitely one of the few that should deserve more than just one video collection towards his skunky charm. Unfortunately, this is his only one.

Pepe Le Pew's Skunk Tales, is a well-recognized reflection of the Chuck Jones romeo. The 1986 video contains several of the French skunk and his classic chase for love and belonging. The video showcases a lot of his most remarkable favorites, including Who Scent You?, the Oscar-winning For Scent-imental Reasons, Past Perfumance, The Cats Bah, and so many others. Actually 7 of the 8, cartoons feature the seductive stinker. The other one, last most of the videos from the Golden Jubilee collection doesn't have anything to do with the main character. Much Ado About Nutting is the only one that Pepe isn't featured in. Nevertheless, any collection with Pepe Le Pew is better than none.

It is just a shame that most networks don't consider airing any Warner Brothers cartoons anymore, especially with Pepe Le Pew. This is a delightful collection of one of Warner's most delightful and adorable characters ever. I suggest for anybody who loves the Looney Tunes era, this Pepe Le Pew's Skunk Tales is truly a delight.

I never liked cartoons, even as a kid. But these make me laugh out loud, along with Tweety and Pepe Le Pew.

Classic. Ranks in Chuck Jones' best. Not a word said in the cartoon, the frustration of this squirrel is conveyed in a universal language. Very well drawn. Only found a copy available in 'Skunk Tales'. Coconuts are very hard, as this squirrel finds out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Pepe VHS, February 4, 2011
This review is from: Warner Brothers Golden Jubilee 24 Karat Collection Pepe Le Pew's Skunk Tales [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Pepe Le Pew hasn't received a very good treatment on the Looney Tunes DVD releases, but he gets his due here!
1. Scent-imental Romeo (Jones, 1951)
2. Past Perfumance (Jones, 1955)
3. Who Scent You? (Jones, 1960)
4. Odor of the Day (Davis, 1948)
5. The Cat's Bah (Jones, 1954)
6. Much Ado About Nutting (Jones, 1954; non-Pepe)
7. Really Scent (Levitow, 1959)
8. For Scent-imental Reasons (Jones, 1949; won Academy Award)
