Editorial Reviews

From URB Magazine

(Blue Chip) From the moment that Warp Factor blasts out of the gate with the stomping romp that is "Phatt Bass," this German duo is relentless in their pursuit of the perfect superclub beat. Bass-bin-rattling drums march across huge squelching synth melodies while euphoric breakdowns and snare rolls work hard to keep hands in the air and whistles whistling. And we're only on the first track. The appropriately titled "Feel Like God" utilizes many of the same tricks, breaking the beat down before roaring back into it like a bull with gas. That pretty much sums up Warp Factor, as it flirts with other floor-rocking rhythms (like breakbeat on the insistent "Time to Rock") but never loses sight of the ultimate goal: a sweaty dance floor full of people having it hardcore. While it's somewhat one-dimensional for a full-length album, these energetic club anthems are certainly consistent. For those about to rave (or simply reminisce), the Warp Brothers bring it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hardcore Perfection, May 23, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Warp Factor (Audio CD)
This CD is excellent with nearly every track being pure musical perfection. I had originally purchased their 'Warp 10' album only to discover that while very similar, this release has three additional tracks not included on the 'Warp 10' double CD. I'm glad I did finally buy this album for those three songs as two of them are absolutely wonderful. In any case, the Warp Brothers are masters of hardcore and have rapidly become my favorite techno artist over Mauro Picotto and Voodoo & Serano.

Warp Brothers have been around for a long time and have not gotten the credit they deserve. This album is a must for anyone who has heard there hits "Phatt Bass" and "We Will Survive" and many others. This album shows various ends of there music style and shows that the Warp Brothers will be a definite icon in years to come. I give this album a 10 out of 10.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely amazing, December 10, 2005
This review is from: Warp Factor (Audio CD)
This is definitely one of my favorite trance albums to date. Songs like Power, Cokane, and We Will Survive never cease to bring a smile to my face - no matter what time or what place. With so many trance artists putting out dream-like trance and ambient trance, which is nice on occasions, this music is just in your face excellence. I would recommend it to any trance fan.
