Zevon guitar work is not difficult to figure out if you have an ear. That being said, if you don't want to go through the trouble of chording these off of the CDs, this is a great purchase. It's accurate, and it covers a very wide range of songs from his career. Having said that, there are certain song selections for inclusion that make you think "hmm, why this one?". Warren has so many songs that lend themselves to solo acoustic performances (which I assume the majority who purchase this book will use it for) that including songs like "Genius", seems incongruous. No disrespect to those who made this book, but if you want to visit Warrens website, most of his material is being made available for free via tablature download. The only warning is that it's not always accurate, but you should still check it out.

Well laid out and with a good selection of Warren's music this is a must have for musicians who are Zevon fans. Only complaint is that it could be longer and include other compositions like Don't Let Us Get Sick.

I really love Warren Zevon, and I was excited to find this songbook. It's got a nice selection of songs that spans the entirety of his career, and the songs are generally well tabbed. My only complaint is that a lot of his songs are piano-driven, so they've tabbed the guitar part to mimic the piano. It might have been better to focus on songs that featured more guitar. Either way, it's really great to have a songbook with chords and lyrics to some of Zevon's greatest hits, many of which are a blast to play.
