Book Description

July 1, 2002
In this barbaric land ruled by men, women are meant only to serve. But Terril, an empathic agent from an advanced interstellar society, owes her first allegiance to her masters from the stars and can never be completely ruled by any man, not even Tammad, the barbarian lord she has come to love. Yet when Terril joins Tammad on a rescue expedition to the distant female-dominated city of Vediaster, neither she nor Tammad can foresee that they are riding straight into a trap that may claim both their lives. Will Terril`s rapidly growing skills of both body and mind prove powerful enough to meet the deadly challenge of the tyrant of Vediaster?

5.0 out of 5 stars More than just sex 'n bondage erotica. Excellent., March 16, 1998

As with the Jalav/Mida series, this line of characters deals with preconceived notions and challenging ones belief system. However, this storyline comes from a viewpoint of priviledge (and the sacrifices that accompany such "priviledge"), and is the typical "little woman" viewpoint so that more of the (feminine) readers can concentrate on the storyline and not be so bowled over by the "masculine" viewpoint coming from a female chracter. Lots of similarity with the Jalav series, but served in a more American culture-friendly viewpoint so that female readers can get the (don't let yourself be trapped by the gilded cage) message without being turned off by the strongly emphatic lead woman's characteristics.

4.0 out of 5 stars Again 4 stars because you need the whole series, April 5, 2000
In this part, Tamad the Prince and Terrillian continue on Tamads quest to unite the planet by visiting all the tribes, while trying to come to terms with his own PSI. Now they visit the Chamad (Queen) of the city of amazons. Here they are all captured and Terrillian must escape and then try to rescue the others by defeating the Chamad of the city. Only to find that she is then their Chamad.
