When I bought these, I was wondering if they would be "accurate." Wrong question, the right question is "Do they work at all?" Answer: No.

The calipers look nice enough, actually much nicer than the other brand that I've seen. Unfortunately, there isn't a button to push when you're ready to take the reading. The unit guesses. On top of that, the guessing "times out" in one or two seconds, which means you will not have enough time to get a fat fold into the jaws, it will just read the jaws wide open as the reading. Also, since it's guessing, it takes any movement of the jaws as the reading, meaning, I couldn't get a reading of less than 1/3 closure of the jaws.

This sounds technical, but what it means is that THIS CALIPER IS GARBAGE THAT DOESN'T WORK. Avoid it, spend your money elsewhere.

I recommend this product if you have help in taking your measurements. However, if you are looking to use it on your own, it is near impossible to get consistant and accurate readings by yourself.

The calliper-just dont waste money on this. Get the accumeasure calliper (plastic white noe and not the digital one)
The Orbitape-This seems to fully serve th epurpose it is made for. I was able to very easily measure biceps etc with this thing. I have not confirmed the readings with manual assisted tape measure, but I am satisfied with this

I have been unable to use because I cannot open the casing for the battery. The material is so soft that anything I use to turn it to put the battery in is deforming the material that it is made with. This is the worst purchase I've ever made.

This is a sweet product at a very fair price. Everyone at the gym asks me to measure them now that they have seen my gear. I give it five starts highly recomended.

this caliper is is good enough...may not be as accurate as some of the higher end models, but it works...im a personal trainer myself and i would recommend it

this is the easiest and most accurate digital body fat caliper on the market. it shows your last result along with your current result. also gives lean body mass. better than a fattrack, with a large display, so it is easy to read and use. the technology is in the elctronics built into the spring sensor which makes it consistent when taking a reading.
