I'm not the type of person that typically writes a review, but this book moved me. It's a story about perseverance, passion, and commitment, delivered genuinely and with vividness. The number of challenges that Princess faced was remarkable, but how she handled them was even more powerful. She gives the idea of a positive attitude a new face and takes the philosophy of living for today to a new level. This book was filled with informative, entertaining stories and I did not put the book down until I was finished.

This book is truly an inspiration! Princess's engaging, authentic, and touching story not only gives a face to the HIV pandemic, it also motivates us all to do something about it! In her gentle, loving, yet bold way, Princess calls us out and reminds us that we are called to help the least of these. In addition to sharing the amazing things God has done in her life and how he brought her from a small Zambian Village to a point where she is meeting with the leaders of the world, Princess also shares tangible ways each one of us can respond to and help rid the world of this pandemic. Princess truly has a gift and an unmatched passion - I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to get a glimpse of it and to see God moving in the lives of one of his servants!

*A must read:
1) for people who have little to no knowledge about HIV/AIDS - it's very informative
2) for people who know a lot about HIV/AIDS, but haven't had the chance to use that knowledge to help others
3) for those who are helping fight the HIV/AIDS pandemic - it will reignite your passion!

Warrior Princess is the story of an incredible individual and a call to action for the world.

Princess's story is much more than a biography: for someone who doesn't know much about the realities of people living with HIV, it taught me a lot. Her inspiring story of overcoming burdens to speak for the millions of people living with this horrific disease is timely and challenging.


Everyone should read this book. I highly recommend it.

WARRIOR PRINCESS provides a lively autobiography following Princess Zulu on her journey from a poor Zambian village to becoming a global force in the world. Her infection with HIV led to a fiery AIDS activism and an unusual perspective on health, disease and life in this moving, inspirational saga perfect for spirituality collections.

What an apt title for this book. I could hardly put it down. Princess, the author, finds she is HIV positive at an early age. She is determined to educate her fellow Africans. She fights against odds we can hardly comprehend to get her message out and eventually even meets with heads of state, including our own president, as she works to combat this deadly disease. WOW, she is indeed a warrior and yet keeps such a positive attitude and a sense of joy. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

I personally know Princess and she is truely incredible. Her book really refelects her and her personality. I love this book!

I read this entire book on the plane yesterday. What an amazing story of personal courage and purpose!

I checked this book out with several others from my local library. Something about it caught my attention. It was so great. She's one of those people you read about and would like to one day meet. Also in her book in the back few pages it has a pciture of her standing next to Ishmael Beah, the author of A Long Way Gone, the story of a child soldier in Sierra Leone and his book was great as well.

This book was an AWESOME read! Princess is a true warrior, as I was reading her book I had chills! She is on FIRE for HIV/AIDS and I am grateful that she had the courage to tell her story with the world. Sacrifice, encouragment, and courage is all I can say about this book! A MUST READ!!!!!!!!

If you are looking for a inspirational read about HIV and the power of faith in Africa, I highly recommend Princess Zulu's story. She is an amazing positive and courageous woman living with HIV and making a difference.
