5.0 out of 5 stars Repeated viewings from a longtime martial artist, November 24, 2001
By
Juan R. Bas (Orange, NJ United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Warrior Within [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I first saw "The Warrior Within" on TV as a kid in Hong Kong and I thought it was great. That was around the time I started my martial arts training. Since then, I have owned two copies, gave one to a fellow martial artist and seen it more than 50(?) times at least. It always brings me back to what the martial arts are about and why I started training. I still watch it every now and then to this day. Martial Arts are a way of life to me and this is the perfect documentary for someone like that. Seeing some of the greats in their heyday and listening to them speak is inspirational and exciting. I only wish I could have had the pleasure and honour of meeting them. This video is a definite must for every martial artist and for anyone interested in Eastern philosophy and making the world a better place.

5.0 out of 5 stars Warrior Within is worth exploring for Martial Arts Mastery!, October 2, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Warrior Within [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I saw "The Warrior Within", a tribute to Bruce Lee and other inspired Martial Arts masters, and I enjoyed it. It displays the art of several martial arts talents and their self defense philosophy which helps them to prevent them from becoming victimized in a world where violence must sometimes be diffused by violence; the Art self defense! Practitioners give their own account of how Martial Arts training is important to them, and why it is still a part of their lives. Even Robert Lee, brother of the late Bruce Lee, contributes a smooth song as a theme for this documentary. For Males as well as Females, the Warrior Within is an example of why Self Defense is still an important part of life, and why it's mastery is worth exploring for young, and old alike. A truly memorable film!

Nothing has gained popularity faster the last few years as Martial Arts. The film "The Warrior Within" seeks to unlock the mystery of this art. It will show you why learning self defense is essential and may one day save your life and the life of your loved ones. You will find out why millions of people around the world are learning these arts and taking it very seriously. This movie will enlighten, empower and inspire you! You will learn how it is an intelligent solution for you and your family, not only for protection but for self confidence and peace of mind. The cast list reads like a "Who's Who in the Martial Arts"! You will be entertained by the best. It is highly recommended for people of all ages. Every martial artist should have a film such as this in his library. The new "DVD" came out with a "Collector Edition Cover", which is really cool.
This amazing film features great martial artists such as Chuck Norris, Mike Stone, Fumio Demura, Dan Inosanto, Master Wai Hong, Ron Taganashi, Master Moses Powell, Chaka Zulu, Master Poi Chen, Hui Cambrelen, Rabbi Alex Steinburg, Master Florendo Visitacion, "Little" John Davis, Thomas La Puppet and many others. It is definitely "A Must See Film" for all twenty million martial artists!

In action, the masters highlighted in "The Warrior Within" are Terrific! LOS ANGELES TIMES
