4.0 out of 5 stars GOOD CLUB MIX, but what the hell are the other two mixes?, October 30, 2000
By
This review is from: Warrior (Audio CD)
Why do some people , when they try to do something bettter, (in this instance remixing this tune) always ending up making an utter ugly mess, insulting the original created music? What the hell were Robbie Riveria and Trick or Treat playing at? Insulting Micheal Woods original production?

Anyway, I would buy this tune just for the original club mix, as this has to be said as one of the most decent AND popular Trance tunes around (rarely do any tunes manage to do both. I must congratulate Micheal Woods and his singing female companion on such a fine quality tune that has done its rounds at Gatecrasher. I beleive at one point it was "the tune" for that club.

But honestly when all is said and done. Trance is Trance. Garage is Garage. Dont mix the two together. I'll come out as disgusting mixture as the Trick or Treat Remix. UGH!

You may have noticed ive not critised the Robbie Riveria mix much. I'm excusing it slightly as it does try to alternate the music rather than mess it up, but its still rather tacky, and doesnt represent the excellent original in any way.

Anyway, if you can, just get the Original Club mix on its own, or buy the CD for this mix. Its worth it. Reject the Remixes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy it for the Club Mix!!, March 10, 2001

Right so the remixes are awful, but the Club Mix is bangin'!!

As the other reviewer has already said, the 2 remixes are awful. I have'nt met a person who likes them, and I doubt if I ever will. Why Incentive commisioned remixes from these jokers I will never know. Why did'nt they get good remixers like Quake or Pants & Corset to remix it?

The Trick or Treat mix is so bad it deserves a listen, with MC Tails coming out with all this bo selecta b**locks every 2 seconds. Its pretty funny!!

The Robbie Rivera mix is'nt quite as bad, but I still find it an ordeal sitting through the whole mix when there's an absolutely fantastic tune awaiting me on the flip-side (its the Club Mix is you did'nt know!!)

The Club Mix in my opinion is one of the best, if not the best tune of last year. Stacey Harmer screams at the top of her lungs, and Michael Woods' production is as always fantastic. If there was a complaint I could have about the Club Mix, its that it can be a bit repetitive to some people. Not me though. Its absolutely brilliant IMO.

Get it!
