Amazon.com Review

Sir Griffydd DeLanyea, son of a powerful Welsh lord, arrives in Dunloch to negotiate a trade agreement with its canny chieftain. One look into beautiful Seona's eyes, however, and he's smitten. Important as the trade negotiations are, they fade in comparison as Griffydd finds himself falling in love for the first time. Seona MacMurdoch, the daughter of the chieftain, has been unloved, unappreciated, and unwanted by her father since her birth. She is instantly drawn to the handsome young Welshman and is stunned when she discovers that he feels the same way. Unfortunately for the young lovers, the Norse overlord of MacMurdoch frowns on the proposed trade agreement between their two families and sends an emissary to demand Seona's hand in marriage. It appears that Griffydd and Seona have found each other only to be torn apart by duty and politics. But perhaps fate has other plans for these two, for intrigue and desire are spinning webs that may have far-reaching consequences for the people at MacMurdoch Hall. A Warrior's Passion is an emotionally strong tale with well-drawn characters and an unusual, intriguing setting. --Lois Faye Dyer

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent writing, great story!, February 15, 2001
This review is from: A Warrior's Passion (The Warrior Series, Book 9) (Harlequin Historicals #440) (Mass Market Paperback)
I don't usually read romance novels. I picked this book up in a thrift shop because the time period in the story and the cover captured my interest. Today I decided that I would read a few pages then probably lose interest. Well, I was very wrong!!! I read the whole book (296 pages) in one day -- I couldn't wait to see what would happen next! The characters were well developed and I came to care what happened to them. The story was more of a love story with a mix of intrigue, danger, suspense. This read like a good novel. This book has earned keeper status on my shelf, not many books do.

The way that this book was fitted together was really excellent, although it was a bit monotonous concerning the ignorance of the people involved. I liked this book because it was a real page turner, and you never knew what was going to happen next.

I did not really like this book,Seona was not very pretty and I think it kinda ruined the book for me. But if you don't mind that then you should read this book.
