Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

Grade 4-6–When Graystripe and Millie find the Thunderclan&'s old territory, they discover that everything has been destroyed. The two cats then set out on a journey to find the scattered clans. The black-and-white cartoon artwork captures the cats&' expressive faces, action-packed battle scenes, and familiar surroundings as these animals travel through the realm of the &Twolegs.& This is a great choice for reluctant readers, manga fans, or &Warriors& enthusiasts.–Mari Pongkhamsing, St. Perpetua School, Lafayette, CA

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not Totally Satisfying April 24, 2008
Format:Paperback
This book/comic was good, and i really liked some of the drawings, but parts of it seemed to not completely follow through with the other books. Mainly The Sight, in which Graystripe and Millie were attacked when they were at the gathering. However, in this book, they were unharmed, and everything seemed much happier than the first Power of Three book seemed. I would recommend this book, however, especially if you own the others. It was fun being able to see Ravenpaw in a drawing, and I liked Barley too. However, I am waiting for Warriors: Cats of the Clans (Warriors) to give me that!

Recommended for readers age ten to adult, Warriors: Warriors Return is the third graphic novel adaptation of Erin Hunter's beloved saga of wild felines who eschew the way of the human-owned kitty-pet for the way of the Warrior. When proud warrior Graystripe and former kitty-pet Millie return to the ThunderClan's former territory, they find it abandoned. Graystripe fears that his former clanmates have all been killed or captured by Twolegs, but Millie prods him to search for his kin. On their journey, they meet feline friends and foes, and brave the dangers of Twolegs territory. Graystripe's own code calls for him to stay far from the Twolegs, even those that give food or offer shelter; his beliefs conflict with those of Millie, who sees no shame in using the Twolegs as needed. This conflict threatens to tear apart the fragile bond of love growing between Graystripe and Millie. Graystripe must decide to what degree he should compromise his beliefs to survive, fulfill his quest, and acknowledge the feelings for Millie stirring deep in his heart. The simple yet expressive black-and-white artwork brings this adventurous tale to vivid life. Highly recommended, especially for cat fanciers of all ages.

Warriors: Warrior`s Return is the third and last volume in the Warriors Manga about Graystripe`s quest to find his Clan.

Graystripe has returned home, to ThunderClan camp, but the forest is destroyed and the cats are gone. He fears that his friends has been captured, but thanks to an old friend, he and Millie starts their journey to the sea, where the other cats went many moons ago.
In the end of the book, Graystripe finally admit his love for Millie.

Some people think Warriors shouldn't have become a manga series because it's supposed to be really serious.
