This review is from: Warrior's Valor (Supreme Constellations) (Paperback)
This is the third book in the Supreme Constellations series. Much anticipation was felt while awaiting its release and I was not disappointed.
Once again Kellen and Rai are pitted against their arch enemy, the Onotharian Empire. This time it is so personal, that the reader can empathise with these two strong women as they race against time to save their own mother. Most of the characters are strong, dedicated and fearless protectors of justice. The love that blossoms between Emerson and Dwyn is powerful and passionate. As Dwyn fights to protect the delicate environment from humanoid destruction, Emerson is faced with the realities of her Disian heritage. As she struggles to accept the death of her Grandmother years before, Emerson is forced to realise that the spiritual powers of her ansestory are the only thing that can save the one she loves. The ending leaves room for a sequel to this is enough for me to wish I already had my hands on the fourth installment. Gun Brooke has always been one of my favourite authors and this book reinforces how brilliant she is as an author. Devlyn

Fun book -- a notable addition to the ongoing saga of the Supreme Constellations series. Its great to see such well written lesbian science fiction -- and carried by a major seller like Amazon! Thank you for being there for ALL the people who use your services. I'll continue to use your services to meet my literary needs as long as you continue to carry a variety of titles such as the above. Thanks.

Highly enjoyable Sci-fi story. You do not need to have read the earlier books in the series but it makes for an added bonus to those readers who have.
Filled with a host of fabulous characters. We have the dastardly bad guy M'Ekar who will do anything to regain the power he once had as Ambassador for his world. The thirty-four year old altruistic, brilliant and brave Dwyn. The vicious mercenary Weiss Kyakh and the psychotic White. Young Ayahliss, trained in the martial arts and rescued from a prison where no one ever leaves, who shares an attraction to Judge Amereena Beqq who is twice her age. Add to the mix the resolute Admiral Rae Jacelon and her partner the "stunning, but decidedly lethal" Gantharian Kellen O'Dal. And pulling it all together the conflicted and heroic Emeron. Against all odds or perhaps because of the odds that are faced in a compacted time Emeron and Dwyn find a bond and attraction that neither would have expected. Not my favorite of the series. The two main protagonist, Dwyn Izsontro and D'Artansis are interesting but they leave me tepid. The romance between these two was rushed and unbelievable. I enjoyed the sections with Rae Jacelon's mother, Dahlia Jacelon. She is well written and three-dimensional. Ambassador M'Ekar is a bully you are wishing would get his just deserts. In a way I felt sorry for him. The author has the return of two secondary protagonists that appeared in the earlier books, and the introduction of a new protagonist who is a ruthless mercenary. All three will appear in the upcoming sequel due out in a few days. I'm eagerly awaiting reading the next installment.

I have been very pleased with this series by Gun Brooke. I look forward to reading more from her. Her imagination is inspiring. I was riveted by the first book in the series, "Protector of the Realm". I read it over and over again. I am a fan. I would suggest reading the first book and see if you like the series. Check it out!!

Don't really understand,

I really enjoy this series but the thrid one seems odd in my humble opinion. I mean I don't really understand why the main characters jump to become a couple. I feel they are put together instead of strong reasons & links together.
It's quite a disappointment compare to previous two books. Each scene of this book may be good, but not able to be linked together by me. Again this is only little me. I will still be looking forward to any new tittle from the talented authors. I only not really in tune with this one. Sigh.

Gun Brooke is an excellent lesbian sci-fi writer. I have read several of her books and would read more if they were written.
