5.0 out of 5 stars "ANTE UP"!!!
Again M.O.P. has blessed us with another banger. Buy this CD and feel the lyrics, there flow is so raw. Track 14 "Home Sweet Home" is one the illest songs to ever come out, this CD is not for the clubs or the radio it is for the streets. Switching over to Loud Records was an A-class move and hopefully they will get the props they so long deserved. If you...

3.0 out of 5 stars Ultimately Disappointing
I have always considered M.O.P. along with Onyx as the two most up-tempo, hardcore, pump-up rap groups. I loved M.O.P.'s earlier release "To the Death" and after seeing them live, I couldn't wait to purchase "Warriorz". I was incredibly disappointed with the new album though. I will admit "Ante Up" is one of the hypest rap songs I've ever heard and I am completely in love...

Warning, this CD will bring the Warrior out of anyone who listens to it, that's how real it is......

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 star classic easily, October 17, 2002

This album is great why does everybody give's it only 3 stars it is at least worth 4 stars but i gave it 5 stars because it was my first m.o.p. album and it wouldn't be the last. I knew about m.o.p. before from hearing them with gangstarr, i liked them but they where too hard-core for me. Then i've heard the song "ante up" which is one of my favorite songs, so i went to the store and i byed it without even listening. At first i didn't liked the song "everyday" because m.o.p. is not R'n'B but after a few listenings i started to like it(even love it). The baddest song is probably "g-building" but i don't think it's bad. After hearing this album i wanted to buy another m.o.p. album but i couldn't find another-one(in Belgium you only find the super-commercial hiphop-albums: p-diddy, snoop dogg,...). I've found this one because of the song "cold as ice". I will continue looking for other m.o.p. albums. The only message i'm giving to you is too buy this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars They'll kick all yall a$$ with the same pair of boots, January 7, 2005
This review is from: Warriorz (Audio CD)
The best part of MOP is they dont change and the never sound the same. Listen to their other CDs and you always get that same gritty hardcore real account hip hop. Some guys you listen to say things and you know they haven't really done what they say. No studio gangsters here. Billy Danze & Fizzy Womack hit the nail on the head and drive the hammer through the concrete.

Warriors is the culmination of all their great works into a front to back classic for any fan of real hip hop I say again real Hip Hop. If you dont like MOP you must be a fan of that crap music that rules the airwaves nowdays. BUY ALL MOP'S especially this one. ANTE UP

5.0 out of 5 stars Best album of 2000 hands down, June 6, 2001

With all the ... mainstream rap albums that came out in 2000 I thought there wouldn't be one good one. This one proved me wrong, the whole CD is tight from the beats (courtesy of DJ Premier) to the lyrics and back to the production. M.O.P. rips on the current state of rap from the ... sell-outs to the bling-bling trend and back. Great CD, definetly worth your money if you are sick of all this cash money and nelly ....

5.0 out of 5 stars Finest tightest album of this year!, October 10, 2000
This review is from: Warriorz (Audio CD)
This duo of cats can spit fire like twin glocks! The production is consistent and quite brilliant with an old school, new school hardcore approach and the production by Primo is as usual quite tight. Although the only problem is the R and B track Everyday which doesn't have strong singing. But that doesn't stop the duo from protraying street life better than the thuggish silliness of Noreaga. And the fact that Freddie Foxxx was mad, these cats have more experience and more anger pent up against the music industry than ever before. I think that M.O.P. deserves a lifetime rap music Grammy for their consistent achievement over a long period of time and they stick together like rhyming brothers.

Cop the album and you will see what I mean.

5.0 out of 5 stars The realest in the game, October 18, 2005

Let me start off by saying that M.O.P. is the hottest rap group ever, Lil Fame and Billy Danz are the truth!! These cats have been in the game forever and they have never let us down it's always fire. Please do not call M.O.P. gangsta rappers that is a great dis-service they are hardcore rappers and if you know anything you know there is a huge difference. And for all you people saying they sold out, how dare you? M.O.P. has consistantly put out hits and have remained underground longer than most platinum artists have been in the game, signing with G-unit(50 cent) doesn't mean they've sold out it means that they would like more exposure for their music period. How long should they keep putting out great music without getting paid for it?

5.0 out of 5 stars Hardcore MOFO's, November 28, 2004
This review is from: Warriorz (Audio CD)
I bought this album when it first came out, and clicked a link for it on this site, so I figured I had to review it. This is by far M.O.P.'s best album. The fact is, every single song is VICIOUS. Beats, lyrics, style...all of it is PERFECT. I also think its safe to say that anyone who takes that whole Love, Peace, Understanding thing really seriously should avoid this cd. It gets grimy as HELL and don't think i'm playin neither. But yea, this is a nice album and primo doesnt slack on a single track. BUT THIS AND CRY TEARS OF JOY.

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Warriorz (Audio CD)
M.O.P. is one of the hardest and grimiest hip-hop groups out today and this album proves it. With assistance from DJ Premier, the best hip-hop producer, Billy Danze and Lil Fame blazes the tracks. "Ante up" was one the hotest songs in 2000. "Face Off" is one of the hottest Premo tracks produced especially Billy Danze ripping the first part of the song. "Downtown Swinga" and "Nig-gotiate" are bangers to hit the rewind button. "Cold as ice" is a nice hit even though the track reminds me of something Just Blaze or Kanye West (Rocafella Records in-house producers) would have produced. The track was a sped-up sample from 80s rock group Foreigner. Overall, this album is of high quality and unfortunately, not quantity.

5.0 out of 5 stars RECOGNIZE!, August 19, 2004

JJ, from NY to FL (Fort Lauderdale, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Warriorz (Audio CD)
Anything but 5 stars is straight wrong. If you like Will Smith, don't buy this album. Don't get me wrong, I liked Fresh Prince and Bad Boys, but Billy & Fame ain't trying to be movie stars. With lines like "Giuliani steady tellin' us 'Put down the guns,"/But Amadou Diallo caught at least 41/I'm immune to crime, equipped with 9's/Po-po got theirs, I'ma stick to mine," this album DESTROYS all other supposedly "hardcore" rap albums. Even M.O.P.'s earlier releases, To the Death, Firing Squad, and First Family 4 Life, which I love, are not nearly as good as Warriorz.

Premier is just that - the premier DJ/producer in the rap game. M.O.P. will continue to stand the test of time while artists like Onyx and Mobb Deep struggle to reattain their once-lofty statuses.

"I'll have yo a$$ layin' up for months/On a beat machine with a s*&%bag and a IV/Try me, m*&^%f#$%^!"
