4.0 out of 5 stars pretty fun game May 30, 2006
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I've had this game for a few weeks and so far its pretty good. I can do without the animation before and after each mission.

However, the game play is pretty good. I have the first warship gunner and the addition to the submarine is a big plus. It was alot better then i thought it would be. I am going through the game for the second time and the levels and weapons are getting more intense. Bottom line,if you like the first, get this one.

This game Has. It. All.

If by "IT ALL" you mean "all there is to talk and make-believe about on the subject of an alternate history of World War II where a small Dutch political party composed of naval officers in charge of Dutch vessels gets its hands on some super-weapons and takes over from there, attempting to outgun the Japanese, the Germans, the United Kingdom, and the United States."

You play the part of a breakaway faction of Dutch naval officers (not surprising considering that the Netherlands has a long history of mercantile seafaring) who are on the run from a crazed political organization of your fellow Dutchmen who have taken it upon themselves to interrupt World War II and take over the world using some Sci-Fi weaponry the likes of which the world has not seen.

The game puts you in command of the firing position of a boatload of heavy artillery guns, torpedo launchers, machine guns, mine laying, giant gatling guns, missile systems, hi-angle guns, rocket launchers, and a whole slew of other anti-ship, anti-aircraft, and anti-submarine weapons. And that's not all you have on board. Your ship also features various grades of sonar and radar systems, firefighting and bilge pumping systems, electronic targeting and electronic jamming, bow thrusters, airplane catapults, helicopter launch pads, and a whole lot more. And you get to design it all.

In painstaking detail, you launch yourself headfirst into a world of Computer Aided Design. Yes, the game features a very rudimentary, arcade-style computer aided design where your ship is represented as a blueprint and you pick up and move weapons and structures around the graphed-out plane in both top-down and side views.

5.0 out of 5 stars why this game is a must have December 30, 2010

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
im huge fan of the navy as such ive always imagined what some of my warship designs would be, im happy to say this game lives up to its reputation. i found the controlls to be easy to memorize and easier to do other things tho i think some of the weapons are way out there even for a game. i do enjoy blasting entire fleets of enemy ships into the next milennium. so if you one of the people who like to buld (and destroy) things this game is a must have.
the blueprint design scheme (how you biuld your ship) is easy to use.
