This review is from: Warwick Corvette Rockbass Basic Active Bass Guitar (5 String, Almond Sunburst, High Polish) (Electronics)
paid $485 used for it at local store here in Lansing, MI. Quality = 8. One of the easiest playing basses I've ever played (have been playing for 35 years). I have a Fender usa made 62' reissue and it plays better. Sounds different but that's to be expected. Have used both top quality Thomastik strings and Hi-beam DR's (roundwounds) on this and it plays and sounds fluid and top notch. Only weakness is that is it's not a 35" scale neck so low B with flatwounds may sound a little less than "tight" when played open.I also have a Pedulla Pentabuzz, and overall, one would be pretty hard to tell the difference in overall functionality during a typical rock gig between the two. same for the 62' reissue jazz. Good Work Warwick for making an entry market bass that competes with your German made 3-5X the price basses..... RH |
