Born in the inner-city of Chicago, Kathleen Cook spent her childhood composing stories, studying mythology and dreaming of becoming a nun. An honors student, her formal education ended in the ninth grade when her mother took her out of state to flee a court hearing. The pair remained on the run for four years. Part of this story is related in Jane's Remedy, Katy's autobiography.
Katy eventually ended up in Phoenix and spent the past forty years raising children, returning to school, volunteering and writing. The Faerland series comprises a controversial saga that challenges readers to explore their own views and respect all others, whether similar or very different. Some call it epic fiction, others, alternate reality. Whatever you call it, enjoy it in your own way and allow others their own journey. Welcome home, to Faerland.
A very unique take on Christianity, both disturbing and refreshing in its concept. Awesome, powerful story with a fantastic surprise ending. Bet you won't see that coming. Makes you wonder just how badly Jesus was mangled by early Bible writers.
