Crazy Tunes!,
By A Customer
This review is from: I Was Only Just a Chorus Girl (Audio CD)
Ari has a knack for whacking out some really distinctive melodies on her lil' ole keyboard. I am overcome with an array of emotions from her stellar performances. IWOJACG is a constantly evolving journey through the extraordinary life experiences of Ari Scott, a truly unique individual. I don't know what to compare her to, she's an original.

Ari Scott: Only Just a Chorus Girl?,
By A Customer
This review is from: I Was Only Just a Chorus Girl (Audio CD)
Ari Scott sings in a breezy way, but don't be fooled. The lead song in I WAS ONLY JUST A CHORUS GIRL [GÜERA RECORDS 2001] says what most of us just think: "How Pathetic Is My Life?" From there, her piano creates syncopating rhythms that evoke everybody's "Bad Day," to the live-your-dream tune of "Oyster Pearl." Ari Scott has an intuitive rhythmic sense in "Airport," taking seemingly unrelated and complex lyrical lines and somehow connecting them. In a haunting refrain she wonders in "A Boy" why the world demands only one response to tragedy. She balances this with the spectrum of lush colors in "My Adobe House." Ari Scott's new CD is worth a listen. You'll be hard-pressed to make comparisons with any other new female vocalist. Six other tunes round out an exciting and original CD. Don't be fooled by that "only just a chorus girl" claim.

Brillant Live Act!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: I Was Only Just a Chorus Girl (Audio CD)
I had the pleasure of seeing Ari perform in a smokey little hole in the wall somewhere in the mini-metropolis of Albany, NY. She played with such fluidness and passion it was hard to not be drawn in. I have not heard the studio Ari, but I'm sure it'll be the next best thing to seeing her live. Do yourself a favor, buy the Cd and get yourself to NYC to see her before she really takes off!!! This artist has more potential and musicianship in her right pinky toe than 99% of the junk on the radio.
