This band is such a fresh breath of relief in the American rockabilly scene today! I don't know, though, wether to call them rockabilly or psychobilly. Their songwriting is energetic yet intriguing. Their musical talent is light years better than guys years older than them. They've got a very unique and tight sound!
The original songs are finely written (musically and lyricly), but the covers of "Paint it Black" and "Maybe Baby" are arranged very well.
I've had this album for some time now and am anxiously awaiting the sequel.
If you're tired of modern r.a.b bands singing about silly sock hops and hot rods and psycho bands singing about gore THIS is the CD you need to check out.

ok, i saw these guys last night opening for Exene Cervenka & the Original Sinners and man, oh man, did they floor me! this cd which came out in 2000 is totally swingin and catchy as hell. every song rocks with rockabilly swagger and great hooks that many other bands in this field would give their can of pomade for. however the band i saw last night is quite different from the band that recorded this cd. gone is the typical rockabilly image, looking instead more like the Dead Boys meets the New York Dolls. it was really refreshing to see a band that looked way different from the music they played. and the energy level! oh my god, they were just insane on stage! i can't wait to pick up their new cd and see how that one compares to this one.

one thing i'm wondering though, is why is Amazon selling this cd for 40 bucks? i bought mine at their show for 10 bucks. if these guys hit your town, don't pass up the chance to see em! they will rock your head off your neck! seriously. i saw it happen. some guys' head actually rolled right off his shoulders. weird.....
