Cara McNamee says:
...that the film only covered (parts of) books 1 and 2 and completely left out book 3? Also, what of Oskar being in an insane asylum and thinking back on his childhood with help of his drum? Growing after being hit by Kurt and turning into a deformed freak? His friend Klepp and raping and finding the finger of Sister Dorothea? Those were some of my favorite parts of the story that I was really looking forward to seeing in the film... I honestly would have watched a 9 hour version of the film so that it could cover it all. Good movie anyhow though. :)
