have use this on vixia M50. EACH battery give me around 2.30 hour recording time (have tested this couple of times, but not a lot of zoom in/out during the recording, probably less with a lot of lens movement) with max quality setting (MXP) HD 1080i 24MBps.
have tried this on lower LP/SP quality and give me around the same length of recording time.

has issue with the wall charger at first as need more than 8-10 hours to charge full (green) from totally empty battery.
contact the seller (blue nook) and after some charging test with the original battery that come with the cam, the charger identified to be a dud.
the seller immediately send replacement, and all works well after (the BP-727 battery charged full around 6 hours from totally empty condition).
the charger is rated at 500mah, hence if the output for the charger is correct at that level and fully charged for 6 hours, the battery approx has capacity of 3000mAh (which is stated 2900mAh on the sticker).
Have not test on using the included car charger though, as no long car trip yet.

as what the description says, you won't know how long the battery will last. but as it take longer time able to record compare to stock battery, this is no longer a problem to me.
also as mention on other review, upon cold start, the cam prompt user that it can't communicate with the battery and user have to click Yes in order to be able to record with this battery.
so to reduce this hassle (not able to record quickly from the cold start), i will just standby the cam (closing the LCD on the recording mode), and open the LCD to activate back when i need to record right away (really fast from standby to ready to record).
this will not give you the warning prompt as what the cam did when the cold start and allow me to frequently record/standby the camcorder to save the battery (you may need to set the power off timer on the camcorder when in the standby mode, M50 has default of 10 minutes).

highly recommended considering the price ... !!!
best customer service from the seller ... thumbs up for blue nook ... !!!

Overall experience is extremely satisfied with the product and seller ...

I ordered this product from Blue Nook on a Wednesday night expecting to receive it in about two weeks. I received it Friday of the same week, way ahead of schedule. The battery takes about 2 to 2 and a half hours to charge. The battery last for at least 2 hours. I tested it by sitting my camera (Canon VIXIA HF R300) by setting it to record non stop. I ran out of memory before the battery died. Great value, and would purchase again.

I have been using these batteries for almost a month and each of them gives me well over 1+ hour of recording time (at max quality), way-way better than the stock battery from my Canon HF R32 that only gives me a meager 20-minutes. Also, the build quality is very similar to the stock battery.

Do note that -- as advertised -- this battery is not decoded, so you will get a "?" symbol instead of the battery indicator on screen. Also, the camcorder will give you a warning that it cannot communicate with the battery right after it is turned on (remember to wait until the warning shows up before recording, if not, you will only record the couple seconds worth of video before the warning shows up. After the warning, you can record all you want! I admit that it is a bit annoying at first and I blame Canon for this, but I get used to it after several days of use)

So, you get 2 batteries at 1/3 the price of the genuine Canon BP-727, it is a no-brainer for me.

OK, compared to the OEM Canon BP-727 battery (at almost $100...robbery, frankly), the ones supplied in this last just as long (well, they did for me). So far, so good. However, because these do not communicate with the camcorder, you never know how much battery is left. I had read this in a prior review, so it came as no surprise; when I bought this kit I also bought just one Canon BP-727 as I know that it does communicate with the camcorder (battery life).

Thus, what I did was I charged all three batteries before going out to shoot video, and I would always start by using the BP-727 (Canon). If and when I got into a critical battery situation, I swapped out to one of the Wasabi batteries. This approach can work well, but you have to be mindful that the Wasabi batteries don't communicate with the camcorder. However, knowing that they're good for at least 70-90 minutes (constant shooting) should allay your fears - provided you charge them before going out for the video shoot.

Mind you, if your video work is CRITICAL (i.e. you cannot possibly afford running out of battery mid-shoot) then you have to bite the bullet and buy the Canon batteries. However, as back-ups, these functioned flawlessly.

Oh, and by the way, there's not mistaking that these do not communicate with the camcorder. Every time you power it up, after about 10 seconds you get a warning on the camcorder display telling you there's no communication between the camcorder and the battery pack; you are prompted to either 'continue using' this battery or not. That is somewhat of a nuisance, but at the same time, should you forget that you're using a subsititute battery, that feature in the camcorder will persistently remind you of that potential issue.

Again, I would not recommend these as mainstay choice for batteries as you will never know just how much charge is resident in them, but as back-up batteries, and for the price (this is a ridiculously good value - two 2700 mAh-capacity batteries plus the rest) you're crazy not to buy these. Throw in the 12V charger adapter that's included in the kit (plugs into a cigarette lighter receptacle at one end and the charging tray at the other) and you have a potential life-saver when away from AC power (for charging).

This is my 2nd try at a BP-727 type replacement battery. This Wasabi brand gives you two batteries and in my tests they game me 94 and 96 minutes recording time. The other brand only gave me 27 and 50 minutes. Even though both brands appear identical, this one did much better in the testing. It also came with a car charger which you might use on vacation. It doesn't communicate the amount of battery left with the camera, but I knew that ahead of time. I would have preferred if it had recorded a full two hours, but still it's not bad.

We received the batteries and charger much faster than expected. It works just as described and outlasts the one that came with the camera so much longer. I am very very happy with the quality and service and will look for this company when I am ready to buy again. The price is the best we found anywhere.

Use with the canon hf m500. Charger works with the original provided canon battery as well so very convenient to top off charge all three before I go filming. Not a bother to press the yes button that pops up letting you know the camcorder will not keep track. It still gives you warning when battery is low so no problem. Can go a long day at 30fps highest HD setting. A little over 2 hours stop and start filming for each battery. Pop 'em in the charger and they are ready for next day.

Original batteries and charger being way to pricy for my taste, I decided to buy this product for my new HD Canon HF M500 camcorder. For now I only tested one battery (charged both) and it worked correctly having a lifespan comparable to my original battery. The only drawback is that the camcorder can't read the battery remaing time but it does warn me when the battery it is almost empty. Given the price, I'm satisfied of my purchase for now...

I purchased this item for my Cannon video camera, since the battery from the manufacturer lasts 30 minutes at the most. These batteries allowed me to capture fun memories from a family reunion without wondering if the battery would die mid-story. I initially ordered the smaller batteries by mistake, and Blue Nook made the exchange process stress-free. I am extremely pleased with both the batteries and Blue Nook customer service.

I bought these batteries as a backup for my camcorder. They both work fantastic and coupled with my 16GB SDHC card on the MXP setting the card runs out of space about 5-10 minutes before the battery runs out. (Roughly 1hr 28mins according to my card) Because of this I am not worried that the battery is not chipped and therefore does not show the remaining time on screen. I can easily monitor this by how many "minutes" I have left on my card. Then when I fill up one card I simply switch both the card and the battery. I now have 3 backup batteries (2 Wasabi and 1 Premium Tech) I and am worry free during my shooting. Also, the camera does make a very loud beep to notify you the battery is going to die. However, I noticed that you only get maybe 20seconds after the beep to stop the recording. So if you hear the beep STOP RECORDING ASAP and switch batteries.

All in all, I am very happy with these batteries and since I now have 3 of them, I don't even worry about how long it takes to charge them. The set comes with a charger and since I already have another charger from my old backup battery I just charge 2 of them at once while the 3rd is in my camera. Definitely worth it! now I just need more 16GB SDHC cards!
