Wasabi Power Battery for Leica C-LUX1, D-LUX2, D-LUX3, and D-LUX4 Battery

Description says 1500 mAh but battery says 1700, which will give even more shooting time. The battery that comes with the Leica D-Lux 4 is only 1090 mAh, so you're going to need a backup for an all-dayer. Battery fits well and pops in and out as designed -- not something you can assume with cheaper (Flashpoint brand) batteries. I'm ordering another one today. I'll have two of these for primary and use the wimpier Leica as a third backup.

I bought this battery in August of 2010 and charged it 4 times. Now it will not charge at all. I sent a message to customer support and did not receive a response, whatsoever. Buy a real Leica battery.

If you are Leica fun, you know how fast battery is drained.
That one for some reason keeps charge longer than original.
Do not throw away plastic pox included in package and you will insured for extra hours of taking pictures...

Went to Brazil with D-Lux4 camera and had two back up Wasabi power batteries and they performed very well. took 600photos and had no problems at all with the batteries

Works fine. Time will tell as to the life expectancy of this battery. It certainly is a much better price than a battery with the "Leica" name on it. My old Leica battery only lasted about a year, so the "Wasabi" has an easy act to follow.

It seems that camera batteries are hit or miss for single use duration and overall longevity. The original Leica battery that came with the DLux3 performed well until after a couple of years would not hold a charge. Previously, I purchased a battery for backup it never ever held a charge. So this time I bought 2 new Wasabi batteries from Amazon. They have shown to hold a full charge for the 2 months they have been in use. I'm hopeful the longevity for these batteries will be there for the longer haul. At this point I would highly recommend the Wasabi batteries.

I bought this battery as a backup for my Leica D-Lux 4. The original Leica battery cost over $75. This one that I paid $14 is just as good or even better performance that the Leica battery that came with the camera. Highly recommend it. The Leica battery is way over priced.

This is a made in China battery, but so is the Leica.

This battery works great for me.

After about a year, it would not take a charge. It worked fine, and lasted longer than the Leica battery that comes w/ the camera, but like I said, one day it just wouldn't take a charge.

I charged it up and it is still in my camera doing very well. I was a little worried about buying a non Leica product but the price was excellent from Amazon. I am very happy and will probably buy another spare for when I am in the mountains and no way to charge them. I would recommend this battery to all.
