It works - you get what you pay for.

The system definitely charges the batteries that came with it (and others of the same model type).
I use these batteries with a Canon Rebel T5i DSLR as well as the Zeikos Battery Grip (http://amzn.com/B003U9VONA) which takes 2 batteries. Together with both systems I have 4 batteries now which is great for a full day of shooting.
This price is excellent. 2 Batteries & Charger for the price of 1 at local stores to me. Charges rather quickly from completely dead cells. Having the mobile charger for the vehicle is great when taking photos on the go. Additionally if you do any traveling to Europe (from the U.S.A.) you'll find that the little 2 prong adapter will work in Ireland, Poland, Czechoslovakia and that's all I can vouch for, but I'm sure it works anywhere they have the 2 pole plug types.
It is incredibly difficult to extract the batteries from the charger once you've snapped them in. I've sort of found a method that works now, but banging it on the table leaving the battery free to continue using a bit of physics seems brash. I basically slam the charger down such that one edge of it makes contact with my table or desk while the battery is free to continue in path taking advantage of the Kenetic energy displacement. Be ready to catch the battery of course you don't want it to simply drop down to the floor (likely not good for the battery either).
But of course, I figure at this price if it breaks I'd just buy another.
