I know when I was looking for a spare I was a bit hesitant to buy on Amazon because there were no reviews and I didn't want to end up with a dodgy battery.

Well I end up buying this one and it worked fine. Obviously didn't hold as much juice as my Panasonic brand that came with the camera, but it also costs a lot less than the brand replacement.

I recommend this as a simple spare to carry around.

Great minds, and all that. I swore I'd write a review for this battery, because - like the other reviewer - I questioned buying something that hadn't been rated. Anyway, I've had it a few days and it seems OK. I think it might actually be lasting longer on a charge than the Panasonic one, but I can't say for sure.

I searched quite a bit before choosing this battery as a spare for my TZ5. I was going on a week long trip and camping at my destination for 5 days. I was unsure of recharging opportunities and wanted as spare. I have had it for almost 5 months now and it has worked fine. I don't use the camera continuously enough to compare the performance to the original battery, but it has worked flawlessly for me.

I ordered this battery as a backup battery for my camera. When the battery arrived it was the wrong battery. Wrong size (in all three dimensions) and wrong number of contact pins. Soooo, I wrote to the seller. The next day they responded, apologized, explained it was a subcontractor that had sent it out. They were discontinuing the product and gave me a FULL refund including shipping charges. A few days later, the VP of sales followed up and offered to give me a $10 gift coupon to make it up to me.

I order a lot of stuff from many different companys. It's always best to get what you ordered, but stuff happens and your order is not always right. It's then that you find out the true nature of a vendor. These folks are amoung the very best I have dealt with. I would definately order from them again.

Just got back from a long cruise and this battery was just what we needed. Never needed to use the backup battery the entire trip and took pictures all day long.

I needed an extra battery for my Panasonic Lumix TZ4 so that I always have one charged when I am traveling. This one works just fine. I seem to get about the same number of photos with this battery as the original one that came with the camera. What more can you ask for. I've used it for a few months now without any problem. We will have to see how it holds up.

Was on vacation and wanted a backup battery. Unfortunately,the battery by Wasabi Power, did not hold power for very long. After about 20 minutes it started to show power loss. It does Not hold power like the Lumix battery.

Would not recommend this product at all.

I am disappointed in this purchase. The Panasonic battery that came with the camera is rated at 1000mAh and this one is rated at 1300mAh. Therefore, it should last longer than the original battery but only lasts about 1/2 as long as the old battery. Inferior product with misleading specifications that it does not meet. Either that or my old Panasonic battery that came with camera greatly exceeds it's mAh specification! Would not buy again.

Great replacement product to give me a backup for my original battery. Works great and everything as advertised.

I purchased this spare battery when I purchased my camera. I swap between the batteries regularly and have had no issues. I haven't seen a difference in charge time, so if there is any, it's not enough for me to notice.
