The Wasabi batteries worked fine.
Andrewnfocus
Not entirely sure how well the camera's battery indicator works with this non-OEM battery.
Mt Moriah
Oddly, the charger now recognizes it and will charge it, but the camera will not.

Whew! My Panasonic Lumix G3 accepted these batteries! These batteries last longer than the Panasonic battery that came with my camera, but the camera isn't capable of accurately displaying "used up" they are because of the extra capacity. The camera won't show an accurate summary of the declining power level. Expect the batteries to run for a long time (looking like they have a full charge) and have the camera warn you to replace them unexpectedly. This isn't any failure on the part of the batteries, as Panasonic puts some type of proprietary Micro Chip in the "Official Batteries". Obviously, third party batteries aren't likely to have these.

On a similar note: Panasonic is a little paranoid about people using non OEM (original Equipment Manufacturer) batteries. I've heard that there is some kind of an encryption that has caused other models of cameras to reject some third-party batteries. Plus, the camera manual warns you up-and-down not to use any "NON-Panasonic manufactured batteries".

No worries here. The batteries fit. They are the right size. They charge well. Last a long time. 225+ picture with Image Stabalizationon, Occational Flash, LCD Screen on, and writing in the Largest Format in both JPG and RAW.

I also prefer the charger to the OEM one by Panasonic. The indicator lights on Panasonic seem backwards (Off while charging, and Red when charged?) This one uses Red for Charging and Green for charged. It also works well in my car (which is why I got it).

I wanted spare batteries for my GX1 for a long trekking trip I am planning. For half the price of the original battery, you get 2 batteries, a charger, and more importantly, a car adapter that can charge the battery while on the go. It was as if this was designed with me in mind.
I love the fact that these have 50% more power than the original battery. They work perfectly in my GX1 and I have been using them for the past few days to gauge their real-world performance. As expected, the battery level indicator does not work due to the proprietary chip that Panasonic puts in their own batteries; but as long as I am getting the shots, I can live with the little inconvenience.
Overall, a perfect and affordable companion to the GX1.

SO I lost my factory-issued charger for my GF2 a few months ago. Stupid. I came on here to find a replacement and found that most came with some extra goodies and that there was a pretty wide disparity in the reviews for the different products. I figured that there might be some risk of a third-party charger wrecking my factory-issued battery, so I might as well get one that came with batteries and then have some extra batteries lying around. Some of the products out there had some horror story reviews, including batteries getting stuck in cameras, etc. This one was a little more expensive, but it seemed like it was worth protecting my camera.

The Good: it works. charges the batteries that it came with and my factory-issued battery nicely. no issues of the battery getting stuck or anything. supposedly the batteries that come with it last longer than the factory-issued. I haven't done a test, nor will I, but they seem to last pretty long. It also came w/ a travel adapter and a euro adapter. Haven't had a cause to use them yet, but if I'm not a total shut-in, I will eventually.

The bad: one of the batteries crapped out after one use. It won't take a charge. I'm not really crying about it, since I have the other two and my motive in ordering was just to get a replacement charger, but it's still disappointing given how generally well-reviewed it was. Also, the batteries don't display how much life they have left. But this is a known problem, fully disclosed in the product description, and it's really not that big of a deal.

So, if you're buying this package for the charger, go for it. But if you're desperate for two new, working batteries, well, hopefully they don't crap out on you.

This worked great on my Panasonic G3 camera. The Battery level indicator worked fine and the life was good. The price was much better than Panasonic's battery and has 50% better life. Charger worked on both their battery and the original Panasonic battery. Have not tried the in-car mode for the charger yet but don't see any reason it will be a problem.

I have been using 2 of these Wasabi batteries in a Panasonic Lumix G3 camera for 7 months. They fit the camera well and initially seemed to function almost as well as the Panasonic battery. But after 7 months I'm noticing the difference. The Wasabi batteries run down faster in use, and the "shelf life" is much shorter. One of the batteries, after a full charge, was completely discharged after about 1 month in storage with no use. Both batteries also recharge quickly after a full discharge. That's usually a bad sign with rechargeable batteries. At this point, I would not trust the Wasabi batteries in a situation where battery life was critical.

I have Wasabi batteries that fit my Nikon DSLR cameras and they have performed better. But they are certainly not the equal of the Nikon batteries that came with the cameras.
