Book Description

June 2001
The Wasatch Savage is a story of conflict, romance, searching, and supernatural achievement.

A feisty young woman steps into her dead father's shoes to take over the business that has never been managed by a woman. An athletic cowboy from Spanish Fork is determined to become a world champion bull rider, no matter the price.

A disillusioned inventor disappears into the rugged Wasatch Mountains searching for meaning and purpose.

A free-spirited Indian turns a stolen calf loose with the wild buffalo on an uninhabited island in the Great Salt Lake.

As the lives of these individuals intertwine, the powerful story of the Wasatch Savage unfolds.

Review

"Lee Nelson puts me in the saddle right next to his main character from start to finish." -- Scott Morrison, Provo, Utah

About the Author

Lee Nelson was born in Logan, Utah, in the shadow of the Cache Mountains. As a boy, Lee followed his father on fishing expeditions in Logan Canyon where Right Hand and Temple Forks enter the main stream.

Lee attended college in California and Utah, eventually earning a bachelor's degree in english and a master's degree in business (MBA). He spent two and a half years as a missionary for the LDS Church in Southern Germany.

He was a public relations and advertising copywriter before his first book was published in 1979. Lee is best known for his Storm Testament series historical novels (nine volumes), and his Beyond the Veil series (four volumes).

Lee is well known for his authentic research. He killed a buffalo from the back of a galloping horse as part of his research for the Storm Testament series. He criss-crossed the flood-swollen waters of the Green River on horseback while writing about Ute chief Walkara. He took up roping while documenting the early cowboy life of Butch Cassidy.

He can be reached by writing to P.O. Box 531, Springville, UT, 84663, or by e-mailing to authorleenelson@hotmail.com.
