The wash away applique sheets are a little thick, so if you leave them in and want to hand quilt, you will be an unhappy camper. Also, because of the fusible, even if you try to wash them away before assembling your quilt, some of the fusible residue will remain in your quilt (at least it did in my quilts).

This is as advertised. It's an iron on stabilizer that can be printed. I use it for student patterns for class. It does not completely dissolve, but it does soften a great deal.
If you're printing with an ink jet printer it's great. I would be careful for any printer that involves a heat process because I think it would fuse to your printer head.

Good product for backing hand or turned edge machine applique. Stabilizes appliques, gives them a little loft and keeps appliques smooth. Makes edges crisp and helps keep points sharp. Love this stuff. Like that it's fusible on one side.

The sheets softens but do not wash away. However the sheet makes a good base if you want a little depth to your project.

I would really like to love this product. But I really DON'T.
The product was described as a wash away, printable quilting paper. It was printable, but not wash away. I ironed it like the instructions. Left a large amount of residue after several machine washings.
Then I tried to use temporary spray adhesive and not iron. Still residue after machine washing.

I would be glad to give this product 5stars if someone can tell me how to save the quilt that has this mess all over it.

I was so excited to find this product, but I'm glad I used it on something small before I made a big project with it.

First, the paper didn't fuse well to the fabric. I resorted to school glue sticks, and that was fine.

Next time I will glue the non-fusible side of the paper to the wrong side of the fabric, trim and glue the seam allowances around the edge as for freezer paper appliqué.

I LOVE being able to print on the inkjet printer - I used a very light blue to print the lines so that when it's washed, the ink won't bleed gray onto my appliqué.

I also love the thinness of the paper, because you can get a really sharp edge on your pieces.

What I don't love is that it doesn't wash out. We've all seen old quilts that have little lumps of paper pulp in them, from leaving foundation papers in the quilt. I can only guess that this will do the same after a few launderings.

I hope that the company continues to work on this product and make it truly "wash-away," because that will enable a whole lot more appliqué!

Took a class for applique from Beth Ferrier and will never go back to freezer paper. I Love this stuff!
