5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Book on making Washi Eggs!, December 11, 2002

This review is from: Washi Crafts: Working With Japanese Handmade Paper (Hardcover)
This is the most descriptive and easy to follow instructions (pictures for each step) of any washi egg decorating I have seen. The pictures are wonderful and helpful in comparing how your eggs turn out. Her other ideas of using washi paper are also great. I keep scouring the internet for more info on making washi products but this one is tops! I contacted the author directly with a question about the varnish and she was quick to respond. I also told her that her book appears as "Out of Print" when in fact it is not, she has simply had a problem with the distributor. If you would like to find this book,

I have also purchased "Wonderful Ways With Washi: Seventeen Delightful Projects to Make With Japanese Handmade Paper" -- by Robertta Alexandra Uhl that just came out in September, and it has some neat projects with good instructions. However, Ms. Heinrichson's are the best for making eggs.
