Shoots from the Heart,

This review is from: It Wasn't Always Easy, but I Sure Had Fun (Mass Market Paperback)
This book, makes you truely proud to be a southerner. And it makes you proud to be a man. Lewis says what's on his mind. You may not always agree. Some may find in funny, and some will find it obnoxious. I agreed with every one of his views and all I have to say is, that it's about time someone said some of this!!! A truley touching and humorous book.

Well, in some ways Lewis seems to be quite dated and out of touch. In other ways his work lives on. I bought copies of everything Amazon had in print by Mr. Lewis at the request of one of my early teen grandsons, with the permission of his mother. Reading Lewis Grizzard is about as fun a way to help a kid figure out how the world really works as I know. An early day Jon Stewart.
