Book Description

April 1993
Hot on the heels of the hit I Went to College and It Was Okay comes this second collection from Jim's Journal that whimsically describes the existential experience of today's college graduates. For kids weaned on TV and video games, Jim's cartoons (created by Scott Dikkers) realistically depict the shallow comforts of their lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars How can you not love Jim's Journal, November 19, 1998
This review is from: I Got a Job and It Wasn't That Bad/the Second Collection of Jim's Journal Cartoons (Paperback)
I bought this book on a whim and instantly fell in love with Jims Journal. Its charming, poignant, and sometimes even funny. The tales of Jims daily life are always comforting no matter what. You really get drawn into Jims life, his friends, his job, his happiness and despair. Each new book that has come out I have ravenously sought, finding myself unable to wait tofind out whats going on with Jim and his buddies. These books are for everybody.

4.0 out of 5 stars Frightningly realistic and mundane, August 11, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: I Got a Job and It Wasn't That Bad/the Second Collection of Jim's Journal Cartoons (Paperback)
I first barrowed this book from a friend of mine a few years ago, I can remember thinking it was increadably boring for the first few pages, but once I got far enough into it, it became so true to life that I instantly cherished it. This book is obviously lite reading because it is a comic book, but I would recomend it to people looking for something they can keep by the bed for a good laugh.
