Thrash?, Don't Mind If I Do,
This review is from: Waste Em All (Audio CD)
This 'album'if you can call it that, is frigging great. In fact the only thing i can fault about it is that it is only just over 15 minutes in length (making it more of a 15 track ep). It is a fusion of thrash metal and hardcore, with tongue-in-cheek lyrics and song titles (eg. Thrash? Don't Mind If I Do) that will have you grinning from start to finish, then running to the record store to buy every other Municipal Waste record. If you are a fan of Slayer, this is for you, if you are a fan of Bad Brains, this is for you, and if you are a fan of Napalm Death, this is for you, if you like DRI, this is definitely you thing. Fans of Simple Plan need not apply, though.

Municiple Waste are a great real thrash band. The music here is like going back to the 80's style of pure thrash, it's all happening again and thank god for that! \m/\m/\m/\m/

Yeah, thrash is having a pretty big comeback but nobody does it better than Municipal Waste. This is their first major release and as has been stated, it's a little short. But thrash is fast and angry, so it's kind of to be expected. A bunch of short, thrashy gems and one weird, classic metal-styled hidden track about flying kites or something.
Tony uses a bit different style of vocals on this than on the two albums that follow, it's a little faster, higher and more urgent than his classic thrash yell, if that's what you're used to. I think I prefer it, actually. But if you want to see the Waste's progression from thrash newbies to the genre master's that they are today, look no further. Highly recommended.

Not much to say about a 17 minute album. Fast, fun and easily forgettable. These guys have gotten sooooo much better since this. Doesnt mean its bad just leaves alot to be desired.
